GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed.” Hunch: I’m thinking Trump and his “Silent Majority” may push back on this just a bit don’t you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, here’s the clip.

Actually the quote is repeated often by Trump's opponents but I remember him say it just once and I have watched him a lot. The quote was taken completely out of context. Trump said that he appreciated everyone who voted for him and that he was winning with every demographic. I saw him say this after Nevada, “We won with highly-educated, we won with poorly educated! I love the poorly educated! We’re the smartest people, we’re the most loyal people.”
Beagle, since you seem to be so aware of what Trump says... I challenge you to find another occasion when he made a similar statement and provide a link that includes more than a fragment of a sentence taken out of context. Until that time I will assume that you are the one who is easily misled and manipulated.

Well said. My sister is the of the same thinking. She only watches the main stream media. But she did tell me Cruz was a right wing crazy. LOL She thinks I’m uninformed and I’m stupid for backing Trump. She thinks with her heart. Said she was going to vote for Hillary probably because most Republicans are TEA Party crazies as Ted. Notice my tag line) Hasn’t let up since I worked for Sarah Palin in Jeffersonville, Indiana. I’m the only college degree member of my five child family.

I used to consider comments like these agitprop by party provocateurs inciting division and animosity. I owe an apology to the GOPe trolls out there. This is a true reflection of the “Ted” Cruz attitude, passed on by his acolytes.

Don’t worry, by this evening, Lying Ted will be saying Trump said it. It always starts with “listen” then he babbles on with his lies. As soon as I hear the word “listen” I walk out of the room or turn the channel.
Trump has said that, ‘lowly educated’ or similar about his voters more than a few times.
I don’t have ‘Lexus Nexus’, but the media does and trump will be dogged by that forever.
Trump “loves the poorly educated” as much as the people who sell Marlboros and Mountain Dew.
No the Cruzers are totally right. Those Americans at Trump rallies are “totally horrible people”. Good thing they don’t want their support. All those employed mothers and fathers, veterans, life long conservatives up their waving American flags and singing the National Anthem and peacefully enjoying themselves. HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!!

Unless you’re a narcissist. Then telling everyone, by one means or another, that you’re smarter than they are is de rigueur.
I base that on many policy arguments from Trump supporters. All accusations, name calling, baseless insults. Donald Trump does not even understand the issues and you guys give him a pass. Low information is the absolute correct words.
