Donald Trump bragged about his wine, his water and his steaks during his Super Tuesday 2 primary night news conference. Based on early ratings data from Nielsen, he can add another feather to his cap: his ratings.
Trumps presser dominated cable news coverage on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC during the 9 p.m. hour, and the ratings reflect that. All told, an average of 8.8 million viewers were watching one of those three channels during the 9 p.m. hour. Compare that to an average of 7.4 million people watching during the 8 p.m. hour and 7.3 million people watching during the 10 p.m. hour.
Fox News added 700,000 viewers in the 9 p.m. hour (for a total of 4.24 million viewers) compared to 8 p.m. and lost more than 1 million viewers in the 10 p.m. hour. CNN added 500,000 viewers from 8 to 9 p.m. (2.97 million viewers) and lost more than 300,000 at 10 p.m. MSNBC gained more than 100,000 viewers in the 9 p.m. hour (1.65 million viewers) compared to 8 p.m., and lost 100,000 in the 10 p.m. hour.

Best Victory Speech ever!
WOW!!
GO TRUMP!!!
Anyone who thinks Trump was hawking his goods completely and thoroughly missed the point. What he was doing was giving a giant middle finger to Mitt Romney. I loved every minute of it.
It was great! The best part was the audience was half press half invited guests. So during the press conference portion, after Trump would answer a question, there would be roaring applause. The press had to hate it.
NCAA conference playoffs going on at the same time so I doubt the “gained 700K viewers” claim. Causation - correlation may not point to Trump having anything to do with any of those numbers.
Just think of how many voters the GOP will lose if they succeed in destroying Trump and getting one of their boys (Cruz, Kasich, Rubio, Mitt, etc) nominated....
Lol, that speech had everything one could possibly ask for:
Trump came our looking and acting very presidential.
Then by showcasing his Trump Steaks, Trump Wine,Trump Magazine and Trump water, he put Romney in his place while at the same time demonstrated to confused college kids the blessings of capitalism.
Then he took questions from the press.
When a reporter got uppity, he told him “You’re done, sit down.”
Then he said “Make America Great Again” and walked off.
Lol
” The press had to hate it.”
Yes, and it’s about time we had a republican that isn’t butt-kissing the press.
“Anyone who thinks Trump was hawking his goods completely and thoroughly missed the point. What he was doing was giving a giant middle finger to Mitt Romney.”
Right. And effective.
So far, since that speech, I haven’t heard anyone mention the Trump Steaks, Trump Water.....etc.
“You’re done, sit down.”
Ha!
Love that man.
I stopped watching FNC when they went to the YELLING format, you learned nothing. I have better things to do with my time that to watch bloviating people scream lies at each other.
People in dysfunctional families will get PTSD attacks watching that.
Best victory speech ever and I think he’ll have an opportunity to top it this coming Tuesday night.
They and others,still don’t understand.
LOL!!!
Yep, you got that one right!!!
Go Trump GO!!!!
My ears can’t stand it, I wear twin hearing aids and it over rides the exterior speaker no matter how much you dial the sound down or turn the aids down.
Makes it very uncomfortable to go to places with lots of background noise, had to pull them out yesterday at the doctor’s office because the talking and music were over powering the things. And I can’t afford a better set, these were $3,400 as it was. I don’t even have the radio on in the car, I hear the wind whistle through the supposedly air tight windows. Hurts my ears.
10:00 p.m. seems to be a magic hour for people to go to bed.......
I didn’t watch the DT Barnum show.
