Pamela Anderson asks New York Gov Cuomo to put prisoners on a vegan diet to save $2 million a year

Pamela Anderson wants to cut the cheese - and meat - out of New York prisoners' diets.

The Baywatch beauty wrote an open letter to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday, on behalf of PETA, suggesting that he make all prison meals vegan.

The famous vegetarian says that the diet switch could save the state millions, and she even offered to visit a penitentiary to cook for the inmates if he takes up her offer, as she did last year for a prison in Arizona.

I became a vegetarian about three years ago and I can tell you first hand that you don’t save a lot of money by doing it. You also need vitamin and mineral supplements to replace the stuff that’s missing from your diet.

I feel better, but I’m not saving any money.

It would provide a reason not to go to jail - and eliminate the demands for halal versus kosher versus any other religiously prepared meat. You all get tofu, shut up.

And they use plastic to “enhance” their assets.

I came here to say that.

Actually, make that nation wide. Apparently these prisoners can get all the protein they want from broccoli, which supposedly has more than steak.

Very good idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The prisons can save money in the female section by getting rid of those expensive tampons and substituting corn cobs in their place.

Even better yet, they can be recycled. Wash them off, dry them off, and use them over again. It can be done in both sections of the prison and when they are used to the point that all of the good stuff is off of them, they can be sent to Obama and his female gorilla to use.

Well, prison is supposed to be punishment.

Saves money, and more meat for non criminals. Maybe we can use it to feed Michelle’s abused school children,

I have heard there is an ABUNDANCE of rats in New York. Harvesting this commodity would be a great resource that the homeless community could provide and give them an income. The Chinese have some great recipes for this delicacy. I should think they would fare well on rats. And cut off the A/C would save the gov’t a lot of money.

For once I agree. Why waste meat on prisoners?
