Republican frontrunner Donald Trump said during an interview Wednesday that he believes “Islam hates us” and that there was "a tremendous amount of hatred there."
Trump, speaking to CNN’s Anderson Cooper, made headlines last fall when he suggested a “temporary ban” on Muslims should be enacted “until we can figure out what is going on,” referring to the recent terror attacks in San Bernardino, CA at that time.
"There's something there, there's a tremendous hatred there. There's a tremendous hatred. We have to get to the bottom of it. There is an unbelievable hatred of us," Trump said. Trump added that it was difficult to delineate between Islam and its radical adherents.
“It’s very hard to separate, because you don’t know who’s who," he told Cooper.

We don’t have enough room to list what Democrat, Independent, Democrat, Reformed Party, Republican Trump was for before he was against it.
What? That we have to "get to the bottom of it?" What does that mean? That we need to "understand" it? I've been at the bottom of it for, oh, thirty or forty years now.
Iran has been calling the USA “Big Satan” for more than 30 years while Israel gets the title, “Little Satan”...duh!
Islam will find a means anyway possible to find weak willed disciples globally, anywhere, and will activate them to go on a sudden jihaad against family, friends and coworkers.
Trump has been a private citizen, not a sitting senator.
Look no further than the Koran. THAT'S the bottom of it. Once that fact is completely understood, the necessary course of action becomes much more clear --- stop ALL Muslim immigration. Not "temporarily, until we can figure out what's going on." Permanently. As in, forever.
Meanwhile, the recent so-called "refugee" wave aside, we've been importing around a quarter million of them annually for many years now.
Probably because in all your Google searches on "Ted Cruz and Islam" you spelled his name wrong.
Oh for crying out loud.....Do you really think Trumps giving some special news the entire world isn’t already aware of? What do you mean Trumps telling it like it is as if it’s never been spoken of by others for years now and centuries in fact.
I simply don’t understand people thinking it’s such a marvelous thing saying over and over “Trump tells it like it is”.....when people have been doing so long before he opened his golden lips. It’s not like he’s ‘earned’ the right to be heard for his expertise on Islam...or most other matters regarding this nation.
Trump does talk at a 6th grade level. So, well never mind. You wouldn’t understand.
I’d bet you dollars to donuts Cruz has “muslim” blood flowing through his veins.
Don’t forget, lot of people with Spanish blood have some muslim ancestry.

Trump is on the right track, once we figure out what is going on, it will be obvious what the future needs to be, as you say.
How else does he begin to present the truth of the problem to the American people after all the previous presidents have called it the religion of peace?

On his own dime and without the necessity of another taxpayer funded term in office.
Certainly Trump is not the first to “tell it like it is,” but the telling is uniquely different from the machine that’s been regurgitating the fallacy keeping it alive.
The goal is to break the GOP-e, and take back the liberty it seized. I’m doubtful Cruz can be that constructive.
Don’t get me wrong. Ted is awesome. But I prefer he remain in the Senate and be available for SCOTUS.
Trump is the only presidential contender who stated this. The rest are too PC to dare say such things.

That’s simply not true....but I do believe quite possible Trumps followers , for whatever reasons, suddenly are hearing things they haven’t cared enough to be informed so it’s “new” to them.
Sometimes the simple truths Trump utters are breathtaking.
