Republican frontrunner Donald Trump said during an interview Wednesday that he believes Islam hates us and that there was "a tremendous amount of hatred there."
Trump, speaking to CNNs Anderson Cooper, made headlines last fall when he suggested a temporary ban on Muslims should be enacted until we can figure out what is going on, referring to the recent terror attacks in San Bernardino, CA at that time.
"There's something there, there's a tremendous hatred there. There's a tremendous hatred. We have to get to the bottom of it. There is an unbelievable hatred of us," Trump said. Trump added that it was difficult to delineate between Islam and its radical adherents.
Its very hard to separate, because you dont know whos who," he told Cooper.

As far as I can tell, ABC “News” but into quotes something that Trump never directly said.
Saying there is hatred there is a far cry from “I think Islan Hates Us”. (Though such a quote would IMO be pretty accurate.)
Ted would be in the toilet had he not backtracked on his globalist positions, and parrot Trump.
” cruz will say its unconstitutional”
The reason few American leaders are willing to go there is because of our first amendment protecting the freedom to exercise your religion, ANY religion, and it doesn’t define religion. Even one whose exercise requires the killing of non believers and the subjugation of women.
This highlights a very big shortcoming in our first amendment. I doubt the founders had anything like Islam in mind when they wrote that amendment. It needs to be amended.
The freedom to exercise any religion must be restricted or Islamist will use it (as they are doing) to their benefit to take over the country. (their stated goal)
Thanks for making it clear you see yourself as being superior to the black folks who fled the democrat plantation and their white trash friends here on FR.
He can ban them-it came after naysayer Ted...
Oh, ok.
Republican frontrunner Donald Trump said during an interview Wednesday that he believes Islam hates us
People, you have to be ever vigilant! Words mean things.
Sometimes just the slightest change in wording conveys a very different or even a subtle difference in meaning.
Take the above quote. Donald Trump did NOT say “Islam hates us”. He said (watch for yourself on the video at link) “I THINK Islam hates us”
A distinction without a difference, you say?
“Islam hates us” is a declarative STATEMENT.
“I THINK Islam hates us” is an OPINION.
Also Trump DIDN’T say that he “believes” “Islam hates us”.
Now first of all, the reporter doesn’t know what Trump “believes”.
Again, “I think” is an opinion and also means in this context that Trump is not SURE that they hate us.
If you watch the interview, (obviously the reporter didn’t or he is just lying), Trump deftly answered Anderson Cooper’s questions. Making his point without getting caught up in controversy. Very well done!
I THINK this reporter is a smear artist. Just my opinion, not a fact.
Learn to understand the English language and pay attention to what is actually being said. It often is NOT accurate, ON PURPOSE.
Watch what Lyin Ted actually says, not what you THOUGHT he said. Is what he says accurate? or is it a twisted form of the truth? Is it a HALF truth? = (half LIE).
Just remember, Cruz is a LAWYER, one step BELOW used car salesman.

That statement is a stand alone that supports what’s being said about low information voters who can only quote the sound bites they are fed as evidence of why they support Trump. It is true when people are NOT informed, they choose slogans over character, regurgitate claims rather than consider history, and do little if any research on any candidate....
There are many who have been clear about the Islamic threat...heard only if people care to listen....
Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and many others have stated this “clearly”....immigration visas and refugees from countries with active terror networks must be halted. And they acted on it by introducing legislation to make that happen....what exactly has Trump DONE... Nothing. We are still a country whose government is a Constitutional Republic regardless if the current administration operates as so or not.
Trump sound bites and slogans are just that....’feel good’ quotes to maintain and retain his followers.
History is your friend.
Muslims ruled Spain for 600+ (pretty sure) years.
They spread their genetic matter from Spain to Ireland.
History is your friend.
Uh, uh, uh, north Africans intermixed their genetic sequencing with Spaniards. The Spaniards subsequently carried this same sequencing+ to Ireland.
You ever heard the term “black Irish”..
(see the above for a HUGE clue)
“Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and many others have stated this clearly....immigration visas and refugees from countries with active terror networks must be halted. And they acted on it by introducing legislation to make that happen....”
Nobody knew about it and nothing happened.
“what exactly has Trump DONE... “
He, unlike other candidates, has succeeded in putting that issue on the front burner in the voters mind, right next to illegal immigration and thus created a wave of public support.
You underestimate and fail to appreciate that the way Trump says what he says is just as important as what he says and maybe more so. It’s his simple unequivocal, attention-grabbing, provocative way that resonates with so many frustrated people and it’s what energizes the voting public.
Having said all that, I like Cruz, but his more intellectual style is not as effective as Trump’s pedestrian, off the cuff, stream of consciousness, unfiltered, macho, what you see is what you get style.
There is no Muslim race. It’s not genetics. Think about it.
....”Trump’s simple unequivocal, attention-grabbing, provocative way....His pedestrian, off the cuff, stream of consciousness, unfiltered, macho, what you see is what you get style.”......
Quite the definition of a Potential “President of the Most Powerful Nation on Earth”.....
But you forgot to mention his vulgarity, rudeness, bullying and flat out derogatory and nasty remarks as he presents his “off the cuff style”. Using colorful words doesn’t hide the fact he’s one crude and mindless orator who is as quick to insult the people, his supporters and this nation in a blink of the eye......and worse accept this as much as Hillary and Obamas supporters accepted the corruption in their candidates......I see no difference whatsoever....
Better than most two-faced, calculating politicians, in my book.
Cruz really turned me off when he tried to score some cheap political points after the Chicago demonstration.
And I’m under no illusions with Trump, but if he does a quarter of what he says he would do - I’d be fine with that.
He’s hitting the right buttons with me on immigration, Muslims, common core, guns, taxes... And I really like the way he goes after the propaganda organs and police correctness - two of the most corrosive forces in our country.
Perfection is not on the ballot - we have to pick from what’s there.
