I knew it. He got the deal.
LoL
cruz would be fine with ritual sacrifice if it gets him elected
Did anyone read Trump’s own words? “I agree with him he should be saying exactly that. The difference is I can get there.”
Because nothing says anti-establishment than Chris Christie.
Maybe Beck told him to listen to flaming bushes.
If this doesn’t tell folks what Ted is, nothing will.
GOPe bought and paid for.
Does or did Mrs. Cruz work for Goldman Sachs? Is on leave from them? Anyone know?
I’m still holding out faint hope that Cruz is implementing a rope-a-dope strategy, cooked up with his meeting with Trump a few months ago. Cruz plays the GOPe puppet, soaking up establishment votes, money, endorsements, and support. At the last second, he drops out, and publicly endorses Trump, giving the establishment no time for a counter move.
But if he is doing this, he is a far better actor than anyone could have thought. My hope in this scenario, which was never strong, is fading. Cruz is probably what he appears to be.
Trump needs to make a smock for Cruz to wear to the next debate, emblazoned with all of the logo patches of his donors.....this is actually what the California legislature is proposing for legislators to wear when speaking from the floor......for all the world to see who is sponsoring who.
It is called ‘Nascar Politics’
I’m not going to vote for any nominee selected by the GOP.
And I don’t support anyone who supports such a scenario.
Comprehend that.
Mitt Romney needs more than additional delegates in Republican primary fight
Brokered Convention?
We're all going to have to accept the fact that the GOPe would rather lose to Hillary than win with Trump.
This bothers me. If it is REALLY a two- way numbers tie, or close to that, then fine, open the convention. But if Trump has the required number of delegates, or a few under, then he is the nominee. I say this not because I want Trump, because I don’t, but because anything else is immoral, unethical, dishonest and just plain wrong.
Ted’s latest conversion should be made very clear by Trump Thursday night.
Cruz cites 1976. Ford did not have a majority of delegates committed when the convention started. Ford and Reagan had to compete for the other, available delegates. What was the alternative?
If he is indeed doing this, he should be given a special Oscar.
Best performance by a candidate in a supporting role.
He figured out he can’t win fair and square.
He bailed last night because he knew he had no way of winning, so he got ‘sick’ and hid like a little girl.
Trump should be able to use all the contested convention talk.
Point out how dirty, disgusting, nasty, divisive it is likely to be. That even now republicans are arguing that we SHOULD ignore the winner in delegates. The rules say that people does not necessarily win the nomination, but it’s hard to make the case to voters that it’s fair unless the actual nominee have overwhelming support (and there is no such person right now)
The process will be more vulgar than anything Trump has said. No matter who becomes the nominee it will give Hilary an advantage. And it gives the democrats a better chance of getting the senate back if it’s divisive.
If you don’t want a contested convention Trump will very soon be the only choice. The real decision will then be Trump or Hillary.
I’d guess he’s making that case behind the scenes to potential endorsers and those who want to attack him now but are worried about the divisive convention.
“how do they determine who the candidate will be?”
How about the guy with most delegates wins? That is what it should have been all along.
“He cannot get to the 1,237, so as a person that can’t get to 1,237, I agree with him, he should be saying exactly that,” Trump added. “The difference is I can get there.”
I wouldn’t bet on it, Donald.
