WaPo: Why Hillary Clinton is unlikely to be indicted over her private email server
Washington Post ^ | March 8, 2016 | Ruth Marcus

For those of you salivating -- or trembling -- at the thought of Hillary Clinton being clapped in handcuffs as she prepares to deliver her acceptance speech at the Democratic convention this summer: deep, cleansing breath. Based on the available facts and the relevant precedents, criminal prosecution of Clinton for mishandling classified information in her emails is extraordinarily unlikely.

My exasperation with Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state is long-standing and unabated. Lucky for her, political idiocy is not criminal.

This steaming pile of crap story is the latest in the Rat/MSM efforts to manage the outrage that will occur when the DOJ/FBI decide there is no case ... by then, expectations will be lowered, the story will be old news, and the public will be told that it needs to move on to more important things.

The ‘legacy’ of Obama had damned well better do it because if he doesn’t, either Trump or Cruz will. She make wheedle the Democrat Nomination, but she won’t win.

Ruth needs a refresher course on the ‘law of the land’.

Hillary was around federal government her whole adult life and at the highest level. This fact is what she incorrectly claims makes her presidential material. She is also a lawyer, surrounded by government lawyers. There’s no way she did not know that what she was doing in setting up an outside server was in violation of the law, not to mention public trust.

Ignorance of the law is not a viable defense. Trying telling the officer you didn’t know the speed limit was 35 when you get pulled over for doing 50.

If you are a democrat politician the police officer would let you off with a warning. If it helps democrats it’s ok to break the law- you will get special privileges. That fact pretty much explains everything.

She won’t be indicted because she knows too much.

If she goes down, she will take as many with her as possible.

Right on schedule.
After She wraps up the nomination,
She'll either be indited or leave for health reasons.
Then enters ol' Joe.
Squeaky clean, and ready to continue the Obama legacy.
Giving Obama and the Democrats their first VPOTUS to POTUS victory since FDR/Truman.

I am aware the author is expressing the Democrat defense of Hillary. She is right in one respect that Hillary will not be indicted not because of the law as she alleges but despite the law because AG Loretta Lynch works for Mr Obama and she will not indict her for mishandling classified info regardless of facts presented by the FBI.On the other hand, the real incriminating e mails were the 30,000 she erased. If the FBI was able to resurrect them and finds the ones using her office to raise money for the Clinton Foundation, the leaks from the FBI will force Obama’s hand and hopefully it will be orange suit city for Ms Clinton

It doesn’t justify the two billion dollars Hillary funneled into the Clinton foundations through bodacious use of her private email server and the play-to-pay scheme she ran when she was secretary of state. That’s bribery and tax evasion. Note that the twenty odd million dollars the Clintons raised through the more mundane speaking fees is not included in the two billion dollars.

The FBI investigation was described as criminal and two pronged last year. One aspect is the mishandling of classified material. The other is the corruption in office.

The media has had several well informed individuals come forward and make clear cases for the criminality of Hillary’s acts. The WashPo article may fool her acolytes, it will not fool others with a brain.

Petraeus wasn’t charged or indicted either.

Hillary’s criminal acts are so massive at the least it shows she does not have the qualifications for the highest office in the land. The tax evasion and bribery evidence will seal her fate since the media has thoroughly confused most of the public about the criminal handling of classified information.

They’ll understand tax evasion and bribery just fine.

“Ignorance of the law is not a viable defense. Trying telling the officer you didn’t know the speed limit was 35 when you get pulled over for doing 50.”

Of topic but I got stopped in my 1969 Mustang many years ago and the officer asked “Did you know you were going 74 in a 55 zone?” I was actually relived because I’d not been paying attention to my speed and blurted out; “Is that all?” He asked what I meant. I pointed to the scoop on the hood and said “I have a 426 Super Cobra. If I meant to speed I’d have been going a lot faster than that”

He actually laughed and gave me a warning

“Petraeus wasn’t charged or indicted either.”

I do believe he was charged and entered guilty plea in exchange for probation and fine............

Prosecutors never filed charges which would have been presented to a grand jury for deliberations possibly leading to an indictment.

Petraeus and his attorney, David Kendall (Hillary’s also), went to a meeting where the entire case was laid out as it would have been presented. That led to a pre-charge plea bargain agreement which the judge accepted.

She is making a case that Clinton didn’t know the emails she was receiving contained classified data. Translation: She is way too stupid to be entrusted with classified data.

"After all, she is a liberal and has a vagina."

Not too sure about either. She's a crony capitalist in the pay of Goldman Sachs. Free stuff, gun control and abortion are just smoke screens for making the poor and middle class poorer and the elites even richer. Have you paid a health insurance premium or deductible or co-pay or paid for a prescription recently?

As for the other, I'm not convinced.

(I won't post the famous "Spy" magazine cover from the 1990s for fear of of receiving a permanent ban here. Google "Hillary's Big Secret" at your own risk.)
