National Poll: Donald Trump Remains Frontrunner, Would Lose Big Head-To Head With Ted Cruz

Trump leads poll with a disparate group campaigning. When head to head with Cruz or Rubio, he loses.

"An ABC News/Washington Post poll shows Donald Trump leading the race to become the Republican nominee for President of the United States. However, if the field were to consolidate, the billionaire businessman would no longer be favored in a head-to-head situation, according to the survey...]

[Cruz easily defeats Trump head-to-head 54-41 percent. non-Cruz or Trump supporters prefer Cruz to Trump 72-17 percent.

Among “very conservative voters,” Cruz takes down Trump 60-34 percent. Among white evangelicals, Cruz handles Trump 64-31 percent.

Rubio also defeats Trump, but by smaller margins, 51-45 percent. Non-Rubio or Trump voters favor Rubio 69-23 percent. He, like Cruz, is favored by approximately 60% of women in a head-to-head with Trump.

We will see when either Rubio or Cruz drops out.

Show me where I said that or were you too defensive with some facts about the swing states?

Cruz would lose big head to head with Hillary. Just getting the nomination amongst conservatives will not win a person the national prize.

“You can’t win without democrats these days...”

That’s why 4 million conservatives stayed home on election day 2012. Mitt was supposed to be the “moderate” candidate with crossover appeal.

How did that work out for us?

I don’t recall Trump supporters complaining when months on end Breitbart would run pro-Trump articles.

"...After all the debates we’ve had and all the caucuses and primaries we’ve had, who is in the lead, and who is still living in an Alice n Wonderland dream state?"

A serious, thought out answer to that would be that Cruz is staying close to Trump while several other candidates are siphoning off support he'd have if they weren't in the race.

You can see that yourself in the way his numbers improve as others drop out.

Head to head, he kills Trump. Sorry. But it is what it is.

But I bet you still can't see it.

As the word continues to get out on Ted's lies, unnecessary lies, in Maine, his support dwindles.

Lying is what Ted does best!

Best Cruz can do is place second today.

That gets you a nice pat on the back and a participation prize.

What it won’t get you is the nomination.

After tonight, Trump will add 14-15 states to his win column, Cruz will still have six to seven and Boobio still has one.

There’s no clear path for Cruz/Boobio to win the nomination unless they rely on Common Core math.

But they would rather keep the GOP split than drop out and have the party unite around the front-runner.

Agree. Also, I would think Trump has the advantage in other states like NY, NJ and PA. Once we get into winner take all 51-49 is all you need.

Again...look at it without all of the other candidates siphoning off the votes Cruz’d have.

Then it will become clear.

“No, really. Why?”

Aaaah,let it go.

Some folks are just not mature enough to read an article that doesn’t agree with their agenda.

Ignore it.

Danny...

Think about what you posted.

If other people DO believe it and you say it’s unbelievable...maybe that word doesn’t mean what you think it means.

Or, maybe you just don’t WANT to believe it.
