This development is significant for several reasons and points towards potential legal problems for Hillary Clinton in the very near future.
First, Mr. Pagliano would only need immunity from prosecution if he had broken the law.
Second, immunity can only be granted by Federal Prosecutors, so the criminal investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s private email server is far more advanced and serious than anyone in the U.S. Government has publicly acknowledged to date.
Third, the Justice Department would only grant immunity if information that Mr. Pagliano possesses about a more significant crime outweighed the crime that he committed and if it was in the public interest to do so.
It begs the question — What does Mr. Pagliano know that makes him worthy of immunity?
Well, Mr. Pagliano’s connection to the case is that he set up and maintained the email server at Mrs. Clinton’s request, so whatever information he has is more than likely about Mrs. Clinton herself and pertains to the ongoing criminal investigation. To date, the investigation has revealed that Mrs. Clinton and her top aides were found to have sent and received over two thousand classified emails that all went through Mrs. Clinton’s private server in what appears to be a violation of U.S. law. What remains unclear is Mrs. Clinton’s true motivation for using a personal server in the first place.
Mrs. Clinton has publicly claimed that she did so as a matter of convenience. However, her detractors question whether she did so in an attempt to circumvent the federal records act knowing that she was going to run for President.

Would someone in the media please ask the simple question, "How is it more convenient to go through the hassle to set up your own private email server than just using the email address that the State Department gave you?"

To hide the quid pro quo payments to the Clinton Crime Foundation. Seems clear to me.

If anything at all comes of it, it will be a presidential pardon, phrased as pardoning Hillary for things she MIGHT have done.
Of course, some money will first have to be transferred from the Clinton Foundation to the Obama Foundation. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Then what’s the point of the immunity letter? If he’s the “fall guy,” there’s no need for the immunity. Just put him on trial and absolve Hitlary!

I don’t think that a pardon can be issued absent a conviction (there’s nothing to pardon)! A pardon would keep her out of jail, but the conviction would keep her out of the White House.
You only believe there is a chance that a Clinton will ever be prosecuted if you also believe in Santa Claus.

He can’t claim he had no knowledge of government requirements unless he was so bowled over by Madame Secretary’s grace and beauty.
It seems there is now ample evidence that classified information flowed freely through the clandestine email server Clinton had set up. And yet, with this prima facie evidence of what is unquestionably a federal crime, Hillary continues on, seemingly untouchable.
I think what it will take for this to go anywhere beyond “partisan witch hunting” is to find emails related to illicit fundraising and crony capitalism back-scratching. Because it really boils down to this: Even if Clinton’s email server was a veritable classified information spigot to foreign and domestic enemies, it’s all uninteresting unless there is evidence that shows WHY she had the illegal server created: To prevent FOIA requests from finding her emails about money-for-access and privilege.
