After last night, is there any way realistically that Trump doesn’t win Florida?

Trump finished very close to where he was projected to finish in all four elections. The reason he “underperformed,” winning just two of the four states up for grabs, is because Ted Cruz overperformed dramatically. And the reason Cruz overperformed is starkly clear in Cohn’s graph, namely, a broad chunk of Rubio’s support collapsed out from under him and shifted to Cruz. According to Alexis Levinson, Rubio banked 20.1 percent of the early vote in Louisiana but just 9.4 percent(!) of the ballots cast yesterday.

Check WaPo’s early vote/election day comparison map of Louisiana and you’ll see Rubio’s early strength vanish before your very eyes, replaced by a late surge for Cruz. When the first returns in Louisiana were reported last night, showing Trump up more than 20 points based on early voting, the networks promptly called the state for him and pronounced it another demonstration of his power in the south. And then, for the next two hours, everyone watched as Cruz surged closer and closer — at one point coming within three points, leading data nerds on Twitter to howl that the networks should un-call the race. Trump held on to win — by less than four points, in a state where RCP’s final poll average had him ahead by nearly 16.

Rubio, meanwhile, finished at a dismal 11.2 percent. That was symptomatic of a national trend yesterday, with Cruz doing better than expected and Rubio doing worse. Obviously, some significant number of pro-Rubio conservatives decided to vote strategically and support Cruz instead.

Sorry that happened to your dad....I had a brother who sought his Union for assistance in a matter directly related to the company. He never got it....he was very bitter about that as he of course paid his dues and believed they would come to his aide. Needless to say he left that company and made a point to 'not apply for work' anywhere that had a Union.

That union gave my father 28 weeks vacation one year, then left my mother with nothing after he passed. They had a shuyster doctor take care of his on the job injury which ended his job,and eventually his life. The union should have done their jobs and they did not. This is an emotional subject even over three decades later. Police unions are the worst.

The ground game that Cruz is building in FL is a waste then? Or, maybe we are supposed to buy the fiction that Cruz would invest large sums in FL just to ruin Rubio’s chances and hand it to Trump?

Rubio and Trump have both been weakened in FL and Cruz sees a way to win that state.

DON'T THINK ALL JOBS ARE LOST TO INDIA AND MEXICO!

My moonlighting computer guy had a good tech job here in the Tampa Bay area. He and others were not only laid off their jobs, but he was required to train his replacement who was in EGYPT!

He has four young kids.

At Motorola, headquartered in Illinois, a family member of mine plus his whole administrative department co-workers were laid off.....the whole department's work being transferred to WARSAW, POLAND! Look it up!

He was 20 years with Motorola.

Cruz is NOT an "outsider"!

He's on with Hannity and he's being slimy; begging everyone who is or has supported a candidate other than Trump, to come over to him...NOW!

He is claiming that only HE can and shall ( his words ) beat Trump and Hillary.

He is lying about Trump and what he has done and said.

Trump was on before Ted and did NOTHING at all to trash Cruz, which he should have.

If anyone is arrogant, not humble, and a BIG part of the GOPE.....it's CRUZ!

Did you forget to mention that right here in Central Florida, Disney World brought in cheap, foreign labor and made the current employee train them, only to be replaced by the foreign worker he just trained!

That’s terrible! But not surprising..... Unions are never what they profess to be for the employees. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not informed of their true intentions.

It's going to be tough... Miami has a lot of voters, and there are loads of Cubans and other Hispanics. Rubio probably has all the dirty tricks going in those precincts as well.

I'm registered R here in FL, as is my wife... we'll be at the polls on primary day come hell or high water.

Today.

I pray we conservatives can get beyond the utter insanity that has descended. It goes beyond "TDS". We are playing into the hands of the left and anarchists if we do not.

BILL WHITTLE AFTERBURNER on TRUMP Jan 28, 2016 -- https://www.billwhittle.com/afterburner/trump

Good throughout & sets up this theme that starts at 7 (paraphrase):

"Donald Trump is asking me for a job...I'm the guy behind the desk, and I'm the one who gets to say "You're hired" or "You're fired...

As a job applicant, there are some things I like about him, but there are some things that I do not like [note: true of every candidate; too bad we couldn't combine traits!]

Why don't we apply 'The Art of the Deal' to this particular job applicant? ...while we really really like some things - immigration, defense, [not taking any crap!!], we (also) want some promises...eg, that health care will be solved with the free market...."
