I looked into Trump University. It was active in the earlier 2000s when a housing boom and then bubble were in full swing. Nearly every person that paid for the training rated it highly and many made a lot of money in real estate.
But in 2008, many people lost money. In 2008, there was a massive real estate collapse due to a once-in-a-century banking collapse.
Is Donald Trump responsible for the real estate collapse of the late 2000s? Of course not. Is he then responsible for people losing money? No.
Greedy lawyers filed for a class action. They certified from the enrollment lists of Trump U a total of 30,000. That does not mean in the least that 30,000 persons think they were scammed by Trump U. Very few think they were scammed.
What it means is that these lawyers (whose backgrounds are found to be unethical) had cheaply printed on small cards a mailer to 30,000 recipients stating that a class action had been filed against Trump U. Such cards always state that the recipient has a chance to opt out in case they wish to pursue their own lawsuit. In almost every such filing, more than 90% throw away the card and so they are opted in by default. And in every one of these cases, the litigants collect very very little while the lawyers take away millions.
The case has dragged on for many many years which indicates that plaintiffs are filing continuances because they cant get the case together, they are trying to pad their billing or they are hoping to harass their way to a settlement.
That the media would bring the plaintiffs side of the case to the spotlight to have it tried in public is disgusting. As far as I can tell they have not brought any of the defendants facts of the case to the public, only the plaintiffs (who are for all intents and purposes the lawyers). This is beyond disgusting, it is a lynching.
I heard Donald Trump on a video clip say in the debate that it would be very easy for him to settle the case out but he does not choose to because the case is not strong on the plaintiffs side. But that didnt stop Fox News from trying to damage Trump with pending litigation.
It would be like having news media report an old nuisance case on you and try and convict you in public without giving you due process. I dont think you would be happy to see that happen and Id bet you wouldnt be able to hold yourself together as well as Donald did in the debate.
Until there is a court ruling, this case means absolutely nothing. We dont rule against someone before a ruling is made and that is what was attempted here by Megyn Kelly. She is disgusting.
I'll also point out in passing that yesterday when the BBB was compelled to respond that it was false that they had issued a report received via fax substantiating Trump's position, that again more than likely persons from the news media communicated to the BBB out of context. when likely Trump's lawyers downloaded a current BBB rating which did not show a D- rating as Megyn Kelly had blasted in her so-called 'debate'.
When the BBB allows for 'downloading' a report, that is equivalent to their 'issuing' a report. The terms 'download' and 'issuance' are taken to be the same in this context.
The BBB maintains they did not 'issue anything during the debate'; media persons reported variously that a "nothing was issued", "that the BBB denies an A rating", "Donald Trump lies about BBB faxing confirmation of A rating", etc. in a show of planned confusion and smearing.
It was reported in near silence that Donald Trump handed a fax to Fox News during the break and that the fax showed a recent BBB document of no rating. Ostensibly this was to counter Kelly's D- rating attack. The fax purportedly does not show either an A rating nor a D- rating, yet Kelly claimed and presented as fact in her debate that the organization shows a D-rating.
The picture is clear. Kelly did not say the organization "received ratings ranging from A+ to D-", she instead showed one side and presented it as the final rating, when in fact that is not the case.
So Kelly is a liar and her staffers are her victims. She takes only that information that allows her to act as media assassin and shunts all the rest to the backrooms where they are buried. And she gets a million dollar book deal in the same time frame.
To those of us that follow the campaigns, this is nothing new. For example, when did you ever hear of a correction from media persons that reported Trump lied about Muslims celebrating 9-11 in Jersey City? Answer: you didn't unless you were closely following FR or a few other truth-revealing websites. The evidence supporting Trump's claim was found in a VHS home tape of a local but well-known Jersey City newscaster Pablo Guzman:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3auKMHkZJnQ
So the media hits and runs, lies and fails to retract. This is SOP for them and all too familiar to many of us here on FR. I call them scumbags and to think my sister works as a veteran reporter for one of the nation's premier media outlets owned by Murdoch. She tells me all the reporters are tightly controlled and compartmentalized so they see very little beyond what they are sent out to do and what the context will be. I tell her she would do well to start scouting another job but she's in her 50s and I suspect she will wait it out until she retires. She now defends her organization's declining revenues as "but people still want information" (information as in bogus information?) whereas a few years ago she was asking me what they could do because the head offices were asking for feedback. She's trapped and she works for lying scumbags.
How is it that in the days following TARP, massive bailouts, talk of nationalizing whole industries that the media stood in line with their hands out asking for bailout money, fairness doctrines, laws prohibiting fair use, and control of upstart internet news sites, that many of them are still in business? How is it that the NY Times, whose editors became more than 90% homosexual, is able to keep their lights on? Where has the more than 8 trillion dollars of debt gone to that was driven up by the Obama regime?
I know for a fact that Politico is propped up by massive subscriptions to federal government offices. The evidence is that the NY Fed props up the federal government and the federal government in turn props up favored media.
Trump U will pass just as Jersey City Muslims will pass. But the attacks on Donald Trump will never stop because so many media groups know he is their nemesis, their swan song, the end of their gravy train.
And lest Cruz supporters relax and be gleeful watching the media onslaught against Trump, they have no idea how fast the scumbags would take Ted down. It had already started before Donald entered the race to paint Cruz with the McCarthy brush. Even though many of know McCarthy was correct, it won't stop the media scumbags from wrongly attacking their targets. Ask yourself how fast they made Tea Partiers into lecherous Tea Baggers? Hillary is now saying the FBI investigation is a 'security review'. What do you think she will say should media attack dogs start painting Cruz with the 'women should stay in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant', the 'all Americans are to be baptized', the 'Cruz is anti-Semitic' brush? It won't matter what's true or untrue. What matters is how many GOP voters they can shame to stay home and how many independents can swing to Hillary. And of Cruz' debate skills? Easy, ignore him and attack him nonstop as they do to Trump now. Give yourself pats on the back for participating in the media game of "Cruz takes down Trump". You are tools, you are being played.

This is such a nothing. Most don’t know that it was a seminar series . It was $1500-— Not $30,000. It taught techniques and theories on real estate investing including financing and flip strategy . Many got rich after they finished the lectures and power points. It was a complete nothing as an issue. The “suit” is a to extort funds during a political campaign. they sued the wrong guy to extort anything. THe judge should have granted summary judgment because they all signed glowing departure questionnaires. This it literally “TRUMPED UP” BS. It is pathetic that this is the establishments line of attack. It means they have nothing else.! Nobody but an anti Trump gives this any time.
Or.... he knows what he is doing and is an establishment stooge.
If he throws in his lot with Rubio and Kasich at the convention we will know for sure. I already know what I think.
what's even more disgusting is that a lawyer (Rubio) would be the first to introduce the topic. I'll go so far as to pull a Bergdahl and claim that Rubio's accusations colored any potential jury.
Most con victims harbor deep feelings of shame. They would rather not talk about it.
That report is dated six years ago during the deepest time of the real estate collapse when complaints rolled in.
It was also reported A+. And Donald stated the D- was elevated to an A.
All this was alluded to in the thread post.
So what is your point?

Thanks for your effort and post of this, Hostage. I’m not at all surprised at the MSMs involvement, the vast majority are liberal snakes.
Thanks for the video link, HarleyLady27, it’s well worth watching.
Are you saying those that received the seminar training with Trump U were ‘con victims’?
