We all know where Rich Lowry and the National Review stands. Let’s see what happens in Michigan and Mississippi on Tuesday.
Want to know what really annoys me? Well even if you don’t Im going to mention it .that EVERY single outlet has a slightly different delegate count. WTF. Is our system so complex that everyone can’t have the same count??
Very disappointed in my Kentucky Brethren. This is also a closed caucus state. So there were no crossovers.
That being said, I am not surprised. I live in the rural central area and have seen a strong “I don’t care if we do go from the frying pan into the fire” attitude. People who like trump here are similar to Hillary supporters. If you even suggest that there may be reasons to not vote for him they get a little crazy. They won’t listen. They will even insult.
In a way, I can see their point. The parties and obama set us up. Too many people don’t realize that this is VERY important, and they don’t have to go for a reckless Trump to still vote anti-establishment.
Revolutions like this are never good. Never. Sadly, too many times, the only road is to learn from experience. We shall see if this gets to that.
Rubio’s PRO Amnesty hurt him. We have to many Americans out of work. Same should have been true of Trump with his VISA imported workers program. We don’t need imported workers when we have out of work Americans and Veterans.
Time to start USA MADE first campaign and bring our jobs back from over seas. Did no one learn the lesson of Japan that led up to WW2? Every country should be self sufficient.
Seriuo0usly this place is looking like DU with this crap.
It’s the national review, stop embarrassing yourself by posting utter garbage.
Lowry and NR in general are gimps for the Left, they are little boys to the Left’s scolding Mother Hens. Why they are given any credence is beyond me. Go Trump, an Alpha man for once
You can see them going in both directions. Some (Cristie) prefer Trump because of his past center left positions. Some prefer Cruz because they think he will be more dependent on their donor money.
Shine the light and watch them scurry!
The way Cruz cheated Carson is unforgivable. Same atrocious qualities as the common thief!
Cruz surges? LOL! The Canadian wins two small caucus elections that aren’t even real elections. There are no caucuses to manipulate in the general. And the “Texan” can’t even win the South. Time for Teddy to hang it up. And his can take his buddy Rubio with him. Surges? LOL!!!
“Trump had built up a big lead in the early voting, so big that the networks called it for Trump almost immediately on that basis, but Trumps margin steadily eroded away as the votes that has been cast today came in.”
Get rid of early voting!
(The divergence between the early voting and the voting today is also a textbook
case of why early voting is a bad idea.)
*****************
If early voting is such a bad idea why not have all primaries across the country
on the same day just as the general election is held? Pot - Kettle seems appropriate
to this guys analysis to me.
Our Michigan primary is Tuesday. I am hopeful Cruz takes it. After the last debate and Cruz’s speech at CPAC, people are seeing the gravitas he brings. I am grateful for Trump who broke the back of the establishment and rid us of the RINO candidates. If the next debate is just Cruz and Trump he will be no match for Cruz. I see Trump as the Paul Revere waking people up and Cruz as the general we need to lead our country.
Interesting how supporters see the Saturday results.
Trump Supporters: Cruz Still Can’t Beat Trump.
Trump won the bigger and more significant states while Cruz won the smaller, less significant ones.
Cruz Supporters: Cruz won 64 delegates while Trump won 49.
Cruz’s margin of victory in the states he won is BIGGER, while he was close in the states he lost.
One wants to see what one wants to see.
Trump won the only primary. Cruz supporters are delusional.
“National Review | Rich Lowry”
Almost as biased as Redstate.com
What one would expect, on Super Cruzday.
Trump's atrocious debate behavior is discreditable. He has been able, however, to take advantage of a crowded stage to turn multiple debates into mud wrestling contests. Trump hurls an insult, says something idiotic, tells a lie, changes the subject, interrupts, or talks over everyone else ... and the event flows on, in a degraded kind of way, because there are multiple candidates fighting for time instead of one opponent who can focus on the imbecility of the moment.
To this point, whenever Trump drops a bomb, we get crosstalk, and the moderators move on with new questions. It will be a different game when a single opponent can press the point.
I would not be surprised if Trump refuses to participate in one on one debates, because he is not well enough informed or quick enough on his feet to hold his own in a setting where he can't simply hurl an insult and change the subject. Cruz will utterly destroy him one on one, if we get to that point. But Trumpsters needs to understand that so will Hillary, and even Bernie, who is also a fool but who has better manners, better delivery, and better lines, and who know a lot more than Donald.
Lost in all the fog of punditry is what is happening.
The contest is now between Trump and Cruz.
Cruz is gaining delegates that are in reality bargaining chips to be traded to the Dealmaker for something of value. The question is what will be asked of Trump for the delegates and a unanimous convention
What is unmentioned is the power of the deal
