Ted Cruz takes early lead in Kansas Republican caucus
The Week ^ | March 5, 2016

Posted on 03/05/2016 12:49:39 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

In the Kansas Republican caucus, very early returns have Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas in the lead. With 3 percent of the results in, Cruz has 53 percent of the vote, followed by Donald Trump with 21 percent, John Kasich with 15 percent, and Marco Rubio with 10 percent. The Kansas Republican Party released a statement earlier Saturday, saying turnout across the state was "incredible," with some locations reporting "four of five" times the number of voters who came out in 2012. Republicans are also caucusing today in Kentucky and Maine, and holding a primary in Louisiana.

Apparently you are not aware the politics is a rough and tumble battle where any campaign seeks any advantage it can.

Can’t put a lot of store in a man who speaks about himself in the third person as Bob Dole did about Bob Dole.

stingirl Bob Dole on Fox now trashing Cruz. He is speaking haltingly and says Cruz is too conservative. Ain’t no such thing, Bob.

Both Trump and Cruz have the right enemies.

“You didn’t trust me? That’s ok. It is always good to check. But I am in Kansas. I know the times.”

I did not know you lived in Kansas; the person I read merely said he had seen the time on another thread.

A caucus sort of makes me nervous.

Yes I think Ted was really going to quit if he lost Texas.

If he had lost Texas then he should quit. But I knew he wasn’t going to lose Texas.

I am regrettably one of those who voted for Dole because of the “r.” I’d like a Constitutional Conservative this time, please.

Please spare these never ending Cruz lies.
The DC insiders at RhinoPac gave Paul La Raza Ryan , Cruz ‘s big amnesty Tpp buddy a standing ovation .

Cpac is a DC Cheap labor express - treason Tpp front group.

Ted Goldman Sachs Cruz fits right in there !

Cruz is just Robert mercer, the Tax cheats ticket to skip out on his 6- 10 billion tax fraud mess .
Ted is a DC lawyer and dirty tricks artist .

Don’t worry. The turnout was large and it will be whatever the people want it to be. I am just one person and I influenced nobody. When I got there, everyone around me was for Cruz. But that had nothing to do with me. It did make me happy.

With 11% reporting, it’s Cruz at 50% and Trump at 25%.

Depending on how things go until then, it’s very possible that California and other late western states (South Dakota, New Mexico, Montana, Washington, Oregon) could go Cruz as a stop-Trump sentiment.

Those late states may be in a position to put Trump over the top, or deny him the majority, straight up. Interesting indeed.

Marco has got to go. If not tonight, then after he loses Florida. I heard he is planning to stay in even if he loses his home state. Of course he is well loved and funded by GOPe (their last best hope) so money will not be a problem.

The same crowd at the GOPe know that Trump has to be stopped and then Cruz from getting the nomination. If Cruz starts winning more they will turn more fire on him.

Oh I remember Iowa well. That is when I said no way to Cruz. He hasn’t convinced me that he learned anything from cheating even to today.

District 3, which is my district, has not been counted at all. That is where some liberal votes my influence the outcome.

that POS Rubio isn’t dropping out ever. Hoping for the weasels to win it for him at the convention.
