During the Friday broadcast of his radio show, Glenn Beck said that if he were present at Thursday night’s Republican debate, and “had a knife,” he would have stabbed Donald Trump.
“I don’t know what I would have done if I was sitting in” Cruz or Rubio’s shoes, Beck stated. “I can’t say it that way. If I were on the stage, I would have said, ‘have you been listening to him tonight? Have you been listening to what I say about him?’ I believe these things.”
“If I was close enough and had a knife, the stabbing just wouldn’t stop.”
The Secret Service has not responded to TheDC’s initial inquiry on the matter.
Ted Cruz must disavow Glenn Beck IMMEDIATELY.

Don’t forget, in his position, Beck actually has the opportunity to get close to a presidential candidate.
For more reasons than one. Imagine if, God forbid, some nutcase actually did something. It would be terrible but also think of the conspiracy theorists pointing fingers at someone like Beck and they run even further and try to claim that Ted Cruz was some how behind it.
Beck needs to be visited by the SS.

If this is an accurate quote of what Beck said...the Secret Service needs to pay him a visit as soon as possible, and Tec Cruz needs to immediately disavow Beck.
Period.
This is not something you joke about. Such a statement is not “humor,” it is a threat.
It is also a signal that someone has a very serious problem and needs 1st to be watched closely, and 2md needs help...and in that order.
Particularly when saying it over the air to millions of people.

However, Beck’s hatred for Trump knows no bounds.

Sounds like he’s drinking again.. The guy is of his rocker. When called to task he will obviously cry and try to explain himself using his chalkboard.
He belongs in a straight-jacket in a padded room; the man is completely out of his mind.
And the Secret Service DOES need to pay him a call; so does the FEC!

It would appear that based upon the transcript/audio that Beck has some “wiggle room” as to whether he intended his remarks to be directed at Trump or one of Beck’s compatriots in the studio (Stu?). My feeling is, while this may be open to interpretation, Beck knew exactly what he was suggesting. Personally, I hope the Secret Service pays Glenn a visit to allow him to clarify his remarks for the record.
While that may seem “heavy handed” to some; I think Beck’s toying w/some very dangerous territory for anyone who has a nationwide broadcast audience.
As a point of reference, we had a case here in VA where a young man, who happened to be former Marine E-5, posted some violent song lyrics from a well known band that were misconstrued to be a threat against President Obama. The SS and Commonwealth authorities descended upon him immediately and the next thing he knew he was whisked away to a mental institution for evaluation w/o ever having been charged w/any offense. Fortunately, his mother contacted the Rutherford Institute and they were able to mount a legal defense that resulted in his being released after a few days.
Beck at least deserves some close scrutiny by the federal authorities after this latest stunt.
