Donald Trump responds to the speech Mitt Romney delivered Thursday morning on the state of the 2016 race which he used to lambaste the Republican presidential frontrunner. At a campaign rally in Portland, Maine this afternoon Trump talked about how Mitt Romney begged him for his endorsement in 2012, which eventually did happen.
"He was begging for my endorsement," Trump said Thursday. "I could have said, 'Mitt, drop to your knees,' and he would have dropped to his knees. He was begging. True. He was begging me."

My thought as well. I thought about him on his knees begging because the subject was such. It didn’t cross my mind of what is being implied here because he wasn’t talking about that subject.

Let’s see the media go crazy over the “drop to your knees” remark. They of course will say it was a crude and sexual thing he was implying. He said it right after he said Romney was begging him for money. Ever saw someone drop to their knees to beg for something. That’s all in the hell Trump meant. Everybody knows it, but the haters will try to make something out of it.
Donald Trump did support Romney, he gave him money, and he voted for him, he made it clear he felt Obama was “a disaster.” It is Romney who being the hypocrite, not Trump. What is with you people and your hatred of Donald Trump. It is irrational, sociopathic even. If your dislike was objective, based on reality, you would occasionally find something commendable. And you would not reflexively put that person in the wrong, no matter what, there would be some justice! What Romney has done to Donald Trump is beneath contempt; it is exactly what he did to Newt Gingrich just before the Florida primary. Romney has lied like a rug.
So why did he endorse him then? Because he wanted to feel like a king maker or he really thought Mitt was worth an endorsement.
