Romney totally resented having to crawl to Trump for an endorsement in 2012. He looks down his patrician nose at Trump. That presser where Trump endorsed Romney was one awkward moment. Romney looked like he was being tortured. Then Trump rightly characterizes Willard as a choke artist and I guess Mitt really thought he was getting some back this morning. He looked small and pathetic. He should be forced to show up at the debate tonight and face Trump in person.
Romney has done nothing good for the Republican Party, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in 2012. His adoption of Romneycare utterly defanged his efforts to criticize Obamacare, and his stance on guns over the years resulted in many in the base simply not showing up - to say nothing of the harm to the rights of millions of people that said stance (and laws that he signed) caused.
It is sad that a man with the (previously apparent) dignity that he has, needs to stoop to this level, to do what Rubio didn’t have the ability to do. Romney could have criticized Trump in a manner that wouldn’t have given the Dems ANY ammo, or minimal ammo, for November. Romney is ONCE AGAIN helping the Republican Party to commit suicide.
If Hillary “must be defeated,” then why on Earth do you criticize the frontrunning candidate in this manner? You know, Romney himself was the frontrunner at about this time in 2012, and he got the nomination - and a lot of people who didn’t like his politics STILL voted for him because they believed that he was better than Obama. Why can’t Romney swallow his own pride in the same manner, and just suck it up that Trump is THE leading candidate for the nomination this year. So, his not Romney’s cup of tea - deal with it, like most of us on FR have had to do since 1984.

Now I know why Romney lost. . . why he refused to bring up Benghazi a week after the story broke.
I was always taught that if you have nothing decent or nice to say about another person, then just button your lips (well, that’s the polite version of the real message, but y’all understand).
Romney has violated this very basic rule of simple human decency, in spades. What he may have done to this country by enabling the election of a far Left Wing candidate (AGAIN!) is incalculable. G-d have mercy on his soul, because not too many of those on our side will have any for him in this life.
Regarding Romney’s evident loss of integrity among patriots, I’m glad that patriots have caught on to the idea that the Republican party of our parents has degenerated into nothing more than the “conservative” front-end of the corrupt, state sovereignty-ignoring Washington cartel.

I’m proud to say that I voted Constitution Party in 2012. A liberal like him doesn’t deserve the Presidency, and given how much he agreed with Soetoro I’m not the least bit saddened that he lost.
I never heard these harsh of comments towards Obama or an Democrat.

If I recall, the priests of the Sanhedron attacked Christ and conspired to kill Him, calling Him a fraud and blasphemer. Only the outcasts, the disgusting Galilleans and forigner gentiles came to Christ and believed.
I am not suggesting that Trump is Christ, but he surely is taking a lot of flack from the high priesthood that has brought us to this level of serfdom.
