Excellent right now on how gov’t bureacracy and regulations are impeding economic activity.

He’s making the great point that what we need is not a president who does a bunch of things. What we need is less gov’t, to let people be free to fully engage in economic activity.

So he concludes our economic problem is not primarily a trade deal problem. The problem is an over-regulating gov’t.

Not to say you don’t need sensible trade policies. But that’s not where the main problem is.

This is an outstanding rant.

Didn’t Trump say, last night, he would impose 35% tax on car companies making cars in Mexico? Just how does he plan on doing this? Without Congress? They would never approve such a thing. Only unchecked power could do this...

Owning and running a lg Family Farm for 22yrs, I saw it happen in the ag-hort industry, often. The fed and state EPA, Ag Dept, BLM, DER, DNR, ACoE and others were detriments terrible to deal with, and put a lot of farms, nurseries etc out of business for senseless regs.

Mark says that while last night was a big win for Trump, it was not a knock-out blow. Still have to wait to see how Ohio and Florida go, and others.

I agree. Newt today on Hannity show said he thinks Kasich has a good chance to win Ohio. Not that it would help Kasich. It would slow down Trump. Florida looks solid Trump right now.

If Trump takes both Ohio and Florida, I think it’s over.

Trump does not make plans.

He makes promises.

WHAT IS "FAKE" CONSERVATISM AND WHAT IS "REAL" CONSERVATISM?

This is the year, the culmination of the co-opting of WORDS by the Republicans, much as the left has long known how to co-opt and redefine words and control the dialog by controlling the language.

SINCE WHEN was THIS not REAL CONSERVATISM: Make America great, build the military so strong that no one will attack it, stop drugs pouring over the border, stop illegals pouring over our borders and sucking our welfare systems dry, don't let the enemy (muslims) IN like a trojan horse, don't fund their resettlement here, cut the budget, cut the deficit, eliminate waste, fraud and duplication and redundancy, and TAKE CARE OF OUR VETERANS!

THAT is "conservative". ALL OUR LIVES that is CONSERVATIVE.

But...But....we are told NOW by Cruz, Rubio, the RNC, that we are phony conservatives. And that REAL conservatives believe the following:

NOW, however, the Cruzs and the GOPe and the globalists tell us that "real conservative" means "free trade agreements" like TPP, which screw the US to the brink of existence; promote the North American Union; open and uncontrolled borders and immigration; multiculturalism, like resettling muslim Syrians and Somalians by the hundreds of thousands in flyover country. Run trade deficits in the hundreds of billions and growing each year---approved by REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED CONGRESS, giving the LEFT everything on their wildest wish list. Export US jobs to other countries and allow them to ship their products back her with zero tariffs. Accept massive tariffs or complete prohibitions to get our goods into other countries while opening our borders to freely allow other countries to sell their products here with zero tariffs.

If you do not support THESE things, you are not a "real conservative." TRUMP and TRUMP supporters are phony conservatives because we do not support the end of US sovereignty, nationalism and patriotism.

The political class and globalists have twisted it so that Cruz-family globalism (500,000 more H1B highly skilled visas; massive increases in H2 visas for lettuce pickers; taking bribes from the banks who were GIVEN trillions of taxpayer money in 2008; remove all caps on work visas for China, Mexico and India, allowing them to take the remaining US STEM jobs until crony capitalists can finish exporting the jobs entirely.

Yes. Cruz plans to shut down the useless agencies that do nothing but make it harder for people and businesses to make money.

Honestly, I have no idea why he’s running. I mean that.

Last summer I tried to keep an open mind about him. I LOVED the idea of an outsider throwing the whole D.C. structure into some chaos. Someone who had a vision of what we can do again. I kept listening, waiting. But all I ever heard was self-promotion, bully tactics and ugliness.

I went from liking his potential to complete disillusionment. I think he’s an actor, a con.

Great example!

I don’t think it’s said enough, that individual rights are not the same as the form of gov’t. People tend to confuse the two, and think “democracy” includes individual rights.

Not so.

Hobbes recognized this, and came to the conclusion that individual rights would be best preserved by a monarchy.

Our Founding Fathers feared the potential of democratic mobs to annul all individual rights.

So while we may have some kind of “gov’t by the people” in the US nowadays (we get to vote! big whoop), our individual rights have suffered horribly.

Mark, so how about the way Mitch McConnell doles out campaign donations? What is McConnell expecting in return?

Not sure about the Rubio votes but the Ben Carson votes ...though not that many ... should go to Cruz since Carson has denounced Trump.

“trumptardz”

yep Trumptard here. Let’s see if you can accept my rational critique of Levin’s opening segment tonight:

I like Mark, but he’s just unhinged to the point of denying what is statistically obvious. I listened to him spin the delegate stats to prop up the spirits of Cruz supporters based on the proportional races (and winning his home state), and then shift gears and severely criticize the RNC for “winner take all” races, that, if polls indicate correctly, will favor Trump winning the lions share of remaining delegates.

There is a full court press to thwart Trump. This is fine, up to a point. But if he weathers this storm and gets the required number of delegates the nonsense should stop.

There, was that too retarded, even for a Trump supporter?

I think a lot of people felt a rush of affection for Trump when he first started. We loved him letting the media have it between the eyes.

If I hadn’t been a Texan and a Cruz lover, I would have been for Trump way back then.

But all those people who flocked to him early on have had every chance to learn what the guy is really all about.

It’s revealed constantly. I don’t get it.
