I remember it as you do. It was to get vote for Obozo because it was felt he could not win in the general.

Rush’s version is correct. It was to vote for Hillary.

i remember it more as making sure hillary didn’t get the nomination, not that obama couldn’t win...

i also remember telling my hillary hating friends at the time while you may hate hillary, obama was a danger to the nation...

My recollection is quite the opposite -- that "Operation Chaos" was about have Republicans vote for Obama in the Democrat primaries because there was no way Obama could win the general election.

My recollection is exactly the same. Early in the primaries, Obama was viewed an an outsider, without a chance against Clinton. Limbaugh proposed people register as Dems, to vote for Obama, to give Clinton a poke in the eye. Boy, was that ever a failure....

No, you’re wrong. The idea was to prevent Obama from wrapping up the nomination too soon by voting for Hillary. I think it had the greatest results in the Indiana primary.

It was done to keep the Rats attacking each other for as long as possible.

It was to vote for Hilary to keep the primary going.

I recall it as trying to keep the primary extended. I recall him supporting Hillary in states she was weak in.

No, I voted for Hillary in Indiana in 2008 as part of Op Chaos.

In Indiana you select your primary ballot (R or D) at the polling place.

That is my recollection as well. The intent was to drag out the Democrat nomination process as long as possible.

I think the idea was to keep the race close and vote for whichever one was ahead. I think the endgame was to force a brokered convention, or force Hillary to cash in her super delegates and deny Obama the nomination so as to create...chaos.
