Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says he and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) will get along well if he becomes president.
Speaking from the white and gold ballroom at his Mar-A-Lago resort, Trump said that there will be consequences for Ryan if the Speaker chooses not to get along with him if he becomes president.

I clearly recall Obama using the same tactics - Valerie Jarret voiced them as well. Trump obviously has no qualms about using the office of President for revenge.

Paul Ryan condemned Trump for not denouncing the KKK. He owes trump an apology and he should pick up the damn phoneand ‘splain to Congress that he was wrong....not only wrong...but didn’t do his homework...one of the requirements of a leader.
He never tells you what he’s going to do, he just threatens. School yard bully. I was going to vote for him if he was the nominee, but the more of this crap I hear the less likely that becomes. Enough already.
Yes, that was the intent. And if each branch does their job, it works pretty well. Currently, most seem to have thrown up their hands. So should be thrown out.

I support Cruz because I know who he is and what he will do but Trump certainly shares most of the same enemies as Cruz and I hope for the right reasons.
The Trumpsters are really taking a step of faith trying to assign Trump a particular bent because his history and his moral values sure do leave the door wide open. To dispute that is futile. I hope he is a true conservative if he wins.

I wonder that if Trump or Cruz become the nominee that McConnell might change his mind. Thus, allowing a Obama court pick to become a reality, just to deny Trump or Cruz the chance to name a Supreme Court Judge.

It was a shot across the bow, with a cannon. Clearly there is collusion among the GOP power brokers and it has been at our expense. Brokered convention, Romney, Ryan, new speaker Ryan and his initial comments upon becoming speaker, etc. . In 2004 Bush was losing to Kerry by 12 points at this point. Trying to project outcomes based on polls 8 months before an election is nonsense.
However, the Dogmatic Absolutism Team Cruz is expressing around here today about “Open Primaries” does not bode well for their ability to bring in additional voters who are not all ready in the Cruz Choir.
Cultivate and fund a real conservative challenger to Ryan in a primary battle.

Someone actually told me in another thread if Trump worked to get Ryan out via primary election or replaced as Speaker it would be Un-Constitutional. I am stunned at some of these folks’ disordered posts.
