Game over! This was a rout, America. Winning seven states and the vast majority of delegates is a landslide. Donald Trump and the millions of his supporters have changed American politics and the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.
The nomination is within his grasp and if he does what he said he would do Tuesday night: "[I will] be a unifier!" he may be a very viable candidate against Hillary Clinton in the fall.
After his victories Tuesday night in multiple states and his second place finish in others , Trump is in an unstoppable position. Whether the junior senators from Texas and Florida choose to pursue him, it doesnt matter, the end is near.
Trump, who is an unconventional candidate, to say the least, has tapped into the anger and frustration across America and has mobilized voters to turn out in record numbers.
Love him or hate him, be inspired by him or be appalled by him, Trump has totally dominated a political cycle like no other politician Ive seen in decades.
I admit I was a total skeptic, like many others.
At first, I didnt think he would run.
Then I thought there was no way he could beat the all-star cast of elected officials running against him.
Then I underestimated his lack of substance and trite answers in the debates.
Then I was convinced the political establishment was going to spend millions and take him out. And like the Energizer bunny he just keeps going and winning!
Trump is getting stronger by the day and his supporters are locked in and not going away. And no one has mastered the media like this since Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.
What's ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters

LOL!
Trump has beaten Cruz in 9 states so far by large margins, perfectly in line with polls showing Trump beating Trump, Rubio and Cruz in a three way race and one on one. And from henceforth, after Trump has taken the majority of SEC states, Cruz no longer has a strong position. From here forward, the States will have less evangelicals and will begin to look more and more like Massachusetts where Trump dominated 40 percent to Cruz's 10.
What pathway to victory does Cruz have? He's going to be getting third place from now on, maybe even 4th, losing to Kasich!
How could we forget? I mean honestly, this government, aside barry and co. is freaking nuts! I was calling, emailing, sending FedEx letters to my Congresswoman/Senators! Tone deaf doesn’t even scratch the surface.
The housing bubble frosted my behind, and THAT was what opened my eyes, along with everything that has happened since. The talking heads really are wasting their efforts, on me at least.
I just caught the tail end of a conversation on local radio; Trump is choosing Christie as VP? I hope it’s not true..
I can see the argument for Cruz to stay in.
Some for Rubio, but only because he’s got a shot at strong establishment backing and TONS of money if he starts to pull it together this week.
Kasich is only staying in until he gets to his home state. It’s sad, but that’s the deal.
But Carson?
What the hell is that man thinking? What are his supporters thinking? Get him out of there!
Beginning Saturday the remaining primaries will be closed meaning dems can’t vote ..it may make a difference.
It is absolutely horrid how similar the campaign to install Trump is to the technique used to steal the anti-lib recall movement in California by slipping in Schwarzenegger mostly fears about standing firm for principles — and so few recognize it. You are an exception.
If I were not so easily distracted by my tendency for tangents (I even have trouble not elaborating on bullet points) I could write a book on how the ruling class can never come up with new ways of stealing power and consistently rely on methods of the past.
But then the number of people who would refuse to be enlightened by the evidence I see from other evidence is enormous to begin with, and it enervates any thoughts I have to find a way to discipline myself. Why bother when the deluded prove every day that they want to stay that way. That book I’ve thought about should not even be necessary if there were more people like yourself — and as you can see even here at FR, they are few and far between.
When the Clintons and Trump and Soros (or some other similar combination) all appear on the same stage it will be too late.
Both are godless narcissists.
I’m tired of that. Will we be able to endure another cycle of it?
B - I - N - G - O
No, I’m not kidding. This used to be a forum where you could exchange ideas about politics and rightfully criticize figures who had questionable conservative credentials, based on their history. Lately, that doesn’t apply to every candidate.
Pathetic
little man !
You should stop insulting . It’s the underground level of arguments .
One could treat you also of the real fascist trying , like the left-wingers - libtards ,to make people look another side
McCain has been unusually silent lately
“Only if sore losers, choose Hillary by staying home.”
Nope.
All it takes is for a majority of voters not voting for a vulgar, reality-show/WWF clown for President.

Reality vs fantasy.
Never have I seen so many pseudo conservatives on the MOST conservative site on the net. Trump is a full-blown democrat. If he wins the nomination, it will literally be the first time in history that two democrats go against each other in the general.

Bush, Dole, Romney, Bush, McCain.....
I read somewhere that there are whispers about Mitt Romney trying to sneak in the back door....
Gope bankrolls him
I think that’s where it’s headed. Either that or Romney is going to go for it again. He sure likes getting his ass kicked.
