I’ve noticed that I now hear the words’...If you have private Healthcare..” in commercials offering rehab. I don’t recall hearing this before and now I’m wondering if if they are referring to obozo care or to other than obozo care. The latter would not surprise me.

“It is astounding that anyone could give a rat’s behind about insurance companies. They should not even exist.”

Then everyone can just suck up the loss of their home in a fire, a tornado, or a hurricane. They can drive without insurance and just suck it up when their teenager runs over a kid in a crosswalk, and pay a few million in damages to the kid’s family and estate.

Hey; go for it.

The real problem is that your care cost so much in the first place. Any entity pain for care is paying for a lot more than the Dr’s time.

Amazing that they can lose money when their premiums are high and they don't cover anything

I only have Medicare Part A. When I needed orthopedic work on an insured shoulder, that means I pay the bill. I totally get it that insurance companies are going under and the people often can't pay their deductibles. What I saw is a medical profession that's OUT OF CONTROL, recommending the most expensive solutions, and billing the max and also charging folks pretty hefty deductibles. The other factor is that billing is such a mess some doctors offices have more people working in billing and verifying coverage than in medicine! And even with that there's an outside entity that's in charge of collections. The billing and collection process takes months.

The only way to solve it is less layers and more competition. That only happens if Obamacare disappears and insurance doesn't cover everything.

JMHO

If the Cortisone was only 1% of the volume, as in most creams that contain it, you can get it off the shelf for about 5 bucks.

Obamacare Estate Claims Stunning Minnesota Residents

Many Minnesota residents are learning that taxes are being assessed against their estates to recover the cost of medical coverage through Obamacare from when they were alive.

If the government wanted to keep costs down, they would let insurance companies compete across state lines. Then the companies would be in ‘Let’s make a deal’ mode.

Also, the hospitals are ignoring the dreamers who pay nothing and going hard after the ones who can pay because they have property. My local hospital in Virginia billed me $1,500 for... some mysterious procedure known only by its code that I never had done (haven’t been to the hospital in 20 years). I questioned the billing office and not only were they unable to tell what they claim to have provided, they promised to get back to me and instead immediately sent it to a collection agency. Now the billing office won’t talk to me because it has been sent to an outside agency and the the collectors don’t have the info and have no desire to retrieve it. I just take their names and company info and tell them we will all get together when they take me to court. So far they just send letters and call.

Roger that. I just paid $114 for my 100% covered yearly check-up. Must be common core math that they use.

They seem to be able to pay their top execs tens of millions a year, so yeah, they can go pound sand.

One cannot pick up a turd by the clean end.

Obamacare, like all offal, has no clean end.

Exactly what I was thinking. We’ve had BCBS for 20 years and it’s horrible. When Obamacare was enacted and there were stories about the shock of people when their premiums shot up and coverage went down- my shock was that we’d had crappy insurance for the previous decade. Everyone else’s skyrocketing costs has been our normal for years.

Hey, I was talking about medical insurance. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.

If you think the American people are better off since it’s advent, you are horribly wrong.

Gotta be a misprint. That would make BCBS for those three states bigger than WalMart Global.

I think that they have been positioning themselves and gatekeepers and administrators of the upcoming single payer health plan.

I highly recommend the "Eat to Live" regimen, from Dr. Joel Fuhrman. It's basically "beans and greens." It's not exactly easy to stay on it 100%, especially for a guy like me who enjoys steak and potatoes, but I know it works.

It works so well my wife has taken to nag me mercilessly, she knows I'm worth more dead than alive...lol, j/k
