Top Republicans including governors who convened an emergency conference call on Monday on which Trump was Topic A expect the real estate mogul to carry as many as 10 states on Tuesday night, an outcome that would deal a body blow to Sen. Ted Cruz, who has staked his campaign heavily on the Southern states holding nominating contests, and to Sen. Marco Rubio, who has yet to win a primary and isnt expected to do so on Tuesday.
Trumps march to the nomination has set off a wave of anxiety across the Republican Party establishment as top officials weigh whether to endorse him or denounce him as anathema to the partys values. Reflecting that angst, on Monday morning, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, the heads of the Republican Governors Association, convened fellow governors for an unusual conference call to discuss how the primary was unfolding and Trump was a central topic of conversation.

That’s an interesting assessment, and a good one.
Interesting the GOPe Governors would out themselves....
Just because you are a GOP Governor doesn’t necessarily mean you are part of the GOPe...
“Ted Cruz is profiting from stolen Trump campaign contributions by NRSC.”
Why do you post accusations with not a single iota of evidence to back up your claims?
From the NRSC website: “The NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee) is the only national organization solely devoted to electing Republicans to the United States Senate.”
Exactly how is money from the NRSC supposed to go to Trump who has never run for Senate?
“Cruz and Rubio are not upsetting them, that should speak volumes to many voters.”
Wrong. GOPe would rather have Trump than Cruz. They hate Cruz. They merely dislike Trump.
“Going to be pretty rough down ticket when Trump tells his millions of supporters (half the GOP base) to only vote for GOPers who he has endorsed.”
What good would that do in this election? Do you mean next election? Because the alternative will be to put them Democrats back in charge of the legislature which will not pass anything conservative.

The point is if the GOP is going to violate “the pledge” and run a 3rd Party Candidate against Trump he must respond and tell his voters not to support the GOP. It’s would be MAD but if the GOP chooses that route then it will be. It’s out of Trump’s hands right now. He’s kept he pledge. Now it’s time for the GOP to keep up there end of the bargain. A sitting US Senator saying he won’t support the top of the ticket is not acceptable. That’s where we are at right now. Next move is GOPs.
