RUSH: Here's Sally in Columbus. She's been waiting awhile. I appreciate that. And how are you?
CALLER: Fine. How are you, Rush?
RUSH: Very well. Thank you very much.
CALLER: Thanks for taking my call. Just as a... You know, you have always led us conservatives through some pretty dark times. And there were few places to turn. You never let us down. You always gave us perspective and truth. So I just kind of wanted to say that. But to get to my point, you know, last week you were discussing Trump and the way he talked about "we have to get rid of the lines around the state" during the debate. Well, I have a different take on that. Not only did he say it that way -- and you suggested it was because of his advisors that were kind of, you know, doing a tutorial for him for interstate insurance commerce.
And then also, the thing that bothers me is that when he comments regarding his and the Democrats touchback program -- which is theoretically what it is when he said we're going to do: Send them back and let the good ones back in -- you know, Trump isn't this inarticulate. I think he does it to dumb down his speech. I think he does it to mislead and not have to give explanations. And it keeps his comments kind of on the remedial side. And that's how I look at this. I know it's different from what you think, but it's how I feel. I think he's talking to a base that he doesn't have a lot of confidence in.

Who are you, Einstein?
Trump’s “touchback” we spend billions sending them back then allow them to fill out an application and pay to bring them back in so they will be legal trump voters next election and future democrats.
Yeah right I’m sure???
As John Wayne would say.... “Well Pilgrim, that’s about the size of it...”
Look, we all know damn well that what is needed right now is the worlds most poetic policy wonk to save civilization!
Dumbing down? No, that’s his natural level of intelligence.
Release that Murdoch tape Rush
Yes. According to a Trump fan here on FR:

Why is this a question?
Trump has a gift to know how to win. But it’s at any cost which isn’t good.
—
Tell that one to the Viet Nam Veterans who fought and came home to nothing. They were treated worse than dirt. And where were our so-called military leaders and president while it was going on?
Winning at any cost would be better than running from a fight with your tail between your legs.
Instead the powers-that-be decided to cut and run.
Shameful behavior.
America hasn’t won anything since WWII.
And it is about time that we did!
According to Trump building a wall is negotiable.
Like Partial Birth Abortion?
Sounds like a reasonable analysis. I think the key is he doesn’t want Hillary.
So if Trump teams up with Marco then you’re against Trump?
So an all out nuclear war is better than losing?
Interesting take. Not sure what Vietnam has to do with Trump winning, but whatever.
I think by the time trump is done negotiating the wall will be 1 foot high built by trumps illegal laborers costing the American tax payers billions.
It shouldn't take an Einstein to see Trump for the obvious phony that he is. On top of that he's a spoiled brat, self-centered, unstable, ego maniac. He hasn't the emotional nor intellectual maturity to be president. That along with that odd bromance thing he's got going with KGB Putin, particularly at a time when Russia is on the move.
This is easy and accurate.
Rush the media mogul, is primarily concerned about his bottom line. Conservatives, doing conservative things will cost Rush listeners, why tune in once issues are solved. Believe it, he wants Hillary as Prez, he gets more listeners generating a greater bottom line. He’s afraid of Trump just like the rest of the GoPe cause it will cost him cash. Refute that.

Trump: Well, I think our country does plenty of killing also, Joe, so, you know. There's a lot of stupidity going on in the world right now, Joe. Lot of killing going on, a lot of stupidity, and that's the way it is.

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.
Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.
Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.
In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.
Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.
Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.
