I always check at the end to make sure my vote is accurate. I hope they fixed this tiny little mix up. GAH!
And hopefully neither of the NY libs in this race will be either.

There was a problem this morning just north of Austin. Met us at the front telling us there would be a short wait. Don’t know what it was.
Hubby complained last time (local election) that his votes were switched and they just gave him a blank stare. He called the big guys and they reviewed the entire precinct and ok’ed everything.

Are the machines there ivotetronics? Two years ago, in San Antonio a votetronic machine made Abbott disappear, and showed only Dewhurst.
They are iVotronic machines as seen in my link at post #18.

Evidently you’ve never voted a machine.
When you finished selecting, you have a choice to review all your choices on one screen. You can change any if you like and push the button.
I wouldn’t think the machine could change anything after that.
I have wondered if votes could be changed later. I don’t think it would be all that difficult to do from a programming standpoint.
...Numerous TV shows and movies have had plots based on just that...ABC TV series Scandal being the first one to come to my mind.

will make my suggestion once again and maybe someone somewhere will take it and make a fortune with voting machines off of my offered to y’all free suggestion:
If a simple cash register can print a transaction receipt -— actually two, because one is retained in the machine -— then a high dollar voting machine can be made to do the same thing. Make every voting machine spit out a voting receipt of the actual votes it tallied for each person voting. Each person could take their receipt and check it, carry it home with them for their personal records, or take it to the election judge right then and there and demand the machine be fixed with actual PROOF of the incorrect vote right there in their hands.
The internal receipt spool could be used a a paper trail for any recount.

Also, if I have a vote receipt, would that not be identifiable to me? So I give up my privacy to vote in secret?
I personally think it is good for Trump if Cruz wins Tx, then Rubio has someone else to annoy besides Trump.
KXAN news out of Austin just lied. They claimed the voting machines crashed twice today and had to be rebooted. More likely because of those flipped votes.
In Travis Co., the line is two hours long.

1) Yes, I guess a vote could be changed after the vote is cast, but if the internal tape and receipt are printed as an original/copy at the same time, as they are in a cash register, and if the receipt that you hold in your hand is accurate, then there is a good to better chance that the corresponding tape would be the same inside the machine, and provide a paper trail of votes to count and recount ad nauseum.
2) I guess every place does it differently, but where I vote there were 10+ voting machines. Check-in for voting was a table in the center of the room. As a voting machine would be vacated, the next person in line went to that machine. People were constantly voting and leaving. No one kept track of which machine a voter actually voted on. Your receipt might be time stamped, and the automated check-in signature could be time stamped, but that would be the closest they could get to associating an individual person with their vote. Even then, all they would really know is that you voted some time after you signed in. I believe this would still produce a secret or private ballot.
My W. Travis Co line was 30 minutes to get through compared to 5 mins since I’ve been voting. Travis may go redder than it EVER has this election.
Hmmm I only voted by machine one time. I think I actually may have gotten some sort of numbered receipt. I may call the county clerk here and get some information on electronic voting :)
Occam’s razor:
1. Trumptards consistently lie and plant false rumors.
2. Not sure which voting machines that Travis County uses, but most used in Texas have many safeguards built-in to maintain the integrity of the voter’s ballot selection and have multiple audit trails to ensure that.
3. A senior voter is likely to be confused using an electronic voting machine and not vote the way they thought they intended to.
