A video has emerged to settle the back-and-forth dispute between Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% as to how the Florida senator voted on a gun-control proposal in 1999.
On Feb. 27, Ted Cruz said Rubio voted to ban guns from city parks while a commissioner in West Miami City.

“There are much better folks in Miami, but they dont have the silver tongue and/or the looks.”
EXACTLY...if Rubio is the best that Cubans in Miami have to offer, then don’t complain about us getting a bit angry. At least the blacks gave us Carson...who may be presidential material, but is a FAR BETTER MAN than Rubio could ever dream to be.
True that. It reminds me of something I read...
Pride goeth before a fall.
Where do you get your illegal immigrants from, Shanghai? I don't think any 'wall' will reach far enough to help with that.
For you, this is watching a football game from the cheap seats. No wonder your comments take on the intellectual quality of a drunken soccer fan.
For the rest of us, we have skin in the game at point of contact. You, not so much, an ocean away. Even your name is a deception. You fly the North Carolina flag on your home page. You might have kayaked in West Virginia, but you aren't there. More Trumpette lies and deception.
Just remember that when you put the rest of us there.
No blindfold, no cigarette, and look me in the eye when you squeeze the trigger, or I will know you for a coward.

What you are doing is the equivalent of calling Kasich a Pollock, Carson an African, Trump a Kraut, and Sanders a Jew.
That is not the kind of behavior that should be acceptable here. I'm not talking about politically incorrect speak, I'm talking about factually incorrect slander.
All of these candidates are Americans. Like them or not, believe they are natural born or not, they are Americans.
I agree, 100%. However, I might note that calling Sanders a Jew does not take away from his being an American (a strange and deluded one, but an American nonetheless) any more than calling someone a Christian takes away from their being an American.
Let's at least TRY to get back toward some higher level of civility in politics (and here on FR, as well). I would hope that the time from last week's debate to now will mark a low-point in American politics, though I don't believe that it will.
NOW, as far as Rubio and his stance on guns is concerned, here are my thoughts:
First, I condemn him for that vote.
Second, I have believed, since the time that he joined the Gang of 8, that he was not a genuine conservative/Tea Party type, but that he merely jumped on the bandwagon in order to get elected. I'm not sure that the entire story on Rubio is out yet, but from what I can see he is NOT that conservative and is NOT the candidate for me. YMMV.
It's as if there's a faction here who'd like to see FR become the equivalent of DU for (self-proclaimed) "conservatives".
No doubt some would prefer such people would be zotted. But personally, I'm glad that's not been the case. Tolerance and self-policing still work well here.
Well, so much for Rubio being a conservative...
Midget rubio needs to throw in the towel and join the jeb catchin’ frogs.
Yeah, saw one, maybe a week or two ago. I couldn’t believe it.

How did you live through Reagan - we told EXACTLY THE SAME would happen under him.
You need to learn to live your life without being paranoid.
Point taken.
Thanks for the heads up!
Reagan was a breath of fresh air.
Hmmmm. That might explain the "small hands" crack about Trump.
I’ve read all of the “gay” stuff.
What strikes me is that a gay man would override his “natural” inclination and marry a woman and have two kids, just to feed his ambition?
And that ambition was so strong that long ago that we would give up his gay life? Or that while he was th Speaker of the House in Fl, and a sitting US Senator, no one with first hand knowledge of his “gayness” would have come forward?
Finally, the folks around here need to get their gay bashing straight. If he is really a gay man, a choice according to many, he has chosen to live his life as a heterosexual man. So, if THAT is true, isn’t he doing what all of the anti gay folks around here would want him to do? You damn him for being gay, and then you damn him for living life as a straight guy.
I dare anyone to go back to their 1992 yearbooks and not find anyone who were straight yet looked gay as hell. God, I have photos of classmates from the early eighties who look like they could be in the village people. A couple of them are generals and several are full bird colonels. And I think their wives would be happy to give testament to their love of women.
So, the Marco Rubio “gay” stuff does not stand up to the most casual critical examination.
Rubio? Immigration and guns will take him down.
I don’t like the guy.
I just think the gay thing is just a Sleazy tactic.
Before I looked like a chassidic rabbi (and even while still an O-3) I looked pretty metro-sexual.
