During this entire campaign there was something nagging at me that I just couldn’t bring myself to accept. When I listed to Trump speak it almost sounded as if he didn’t have a clue about anything, including the meaning of fairly simple concepts. His rambling, stream of conscience speeches didn’t make any sense or follow any narrative. Of course, I brushed this off as nerves or lack of public speaking experience.
How could a man worth billions of dollars be stupid? It just couldn’t be possible. Then after hearing him not know what “mandate” meant and several other things including this judge/bill screw up, I became pretty sure he IS that stupid.
He obviously has talent. Maybe he is a really good manager/motivator? Maybe he is ruthless like a mafia boss? Maybe he is an idiot savant when it comes to real estate? I don’t know.
I do know one thing, The man is not smart enough to be president. It will be a disaster.
This is a quote by Steve Scalise about speaking to a David Duke group. Scalise, former minority whip, and I believe now the Majority Whip in the US House of Representatives, DID NOT KNOW.
Twelve years ago, I spoke to many different Louisiana groups as a state representative, trying to build support for legislation that focused on cutting wasteful state spending, eliminating government corruption, and stopping tax hikes, Scalise said in a statement on Tuesday. One of the many groups that I spoke to regarding this critical legislation was a group whose views I wholeheartedly condemn. It was a mistake I regret, and I emphatically oppose the divisive racial and religious views groups like these hold. I am very disappointed that anyone would try to infer otherwise for political gain. As a Catholic, these groups hold views that are vehemently opposed to my own personal faith, and I reject that kind of hateful bigotry. Those who know me best know I have always been passionate about helping, serving, and fighting for every family that I represent. And I will continue to do so.
Agreed.
We now have freepers asking the same question over and over when they know the answer, but keep asking thinking it will hurt Trump
I am so sick of this crap
You answer, the person has the answer now frigging move on.
Xactly !!
They’ll have him on by phone soon, blast him, hang up on him, tell him how awful he is...then a week later they’ll be singing his praises...just like when Trump came out for a ban on Muslim immigration after San Bernardino until the government could figure out what was going on...it’s media at it’s best...
Why should he act the way the media wants him to act. Is this a check box everyone has to check off. If they ask me This inHAVE to answer itnthis way. That’s what politicians do. I say be yourself and may the chips fall where they may. The media can go pound sand
But he dkes need to do a better job of answering those kind of questions so they can't make him look bad.
He did eventually “disavow” Duke. So the ruckus is really about why he didn’t do so instantly.
He had already disavowed last week several times and didn’t want to be dragged into the KKK tar pit again. Trump is guilty of being inartful. That is all.
great point
Come on.... you think it’s a trap to say “I don’t want the support of the ku klux klan?” Seriously...? He has to research whether or not to support the ku klux klan... in a presidential election? What happened to just say what he believes and double down?
or why Clinton is not asked about black lives matter, or black panthers, or Sen Byrd she has had close ties to who was the KKK?
OK you do have an agenda against Trump and not merely asking out of the goodness of your heart.
because he is secretly a grand kleagle of the kkk!!
do I have 2 add sarc??
Trump repudiated David Duke’s endorsement in August 2015.
You dont’ get it.... I’m saying he’s a con man. I’ve been saying that for about 3 months now. The guy has to do research to figure out if he wants to disavow the Ku Klux Klan support or not. He is a con man and you are a Kool-Aid drinker. Whatver....
No that would have been the smart answer. Denouncing the Klan is not a matter of being politically correct or politically incorrect. It's a matter of common sense and intelligence. Does Trump have either?
I know why you have such bad Trump Derangement Syndrome.
You have a Spanish screen name. Thus, you are an illegal immigrant. Donald Trump will FedEx yer ass back to Guatemala.
For the third time just form me and for the about 7th time to you.
He has DISAVOWED them days before.
I’m not wasting my time on your crap, you know the answer, you just keep acting on this for your personal agenda and it is showing strongly .
Move on and stop acting as if you do not know and stop becoming like the liberal media.
I have enjoyed your posts over the years, but this , come on cut it out.
I know he did.... so why back track during the interview and say he doesnt know who david duke and the ku klux klan is??? It made no sense.
He didn’t want to talk about it. Trump has nothing to do with those clowns. Any conversation is tarring him by (non) association. When did you stop being your wife? Etc.
The minute you sign up to repudiate anything...don’t assume that it’s just a twenty-two item list and real simple. There are probably forty countries in the world that are run by thugs or dictators....some idiot journalist will corner you and ask you to repudiate each one of them. The same journalist will ask you to repudiate Putin.
After a while....you will end up repudiating things enough, that you hire one single guy to write daily texts for the daily repudiation ‘talk’.
