The Talk Shows
February 28th, 2016
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): GOP Presidential Candidate Donald Trump; GOP Presidential candidate Ted Cruz.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Cruz, Trump, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders; Republican presidential candidate John Kasich.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Cruz, Sanders, Trump.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Cruz, Sanders; New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Cruz, Christie, Kasich; Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.
Sharyl Attkissons Full Measure A sobering investigation into the cost of medical services, where the difference can be THOUSANDS for the EXACT SAME PROCEDURE! How can they vary so widely, even within the same city?
Lol, I guess he just isn’t noticed that much.
Christi did a YUGE job of taking out Marquito in one of the rallies yesterday talking about how many committees he was on and how many of those meeting he missed (most were between 60-80% of the time), including the Foreign Relations Committee, which Rubes likes to tout gives him more foreign experience than anyone else.
Nay on chief of staff.
Cruz played into his angry nasty man label and did himself no favors.
He left his strategy that was working and followed some bad advice in Iowa and SC emptying his coffers. After Tuesday none of his donors are going to be answering their phones.
Yeah I would really like Newt as Chief. He is brilliant but erratic. Want him on a short leash.
Wallace is being a real jerk towards Cruz. Good thing they aren’t in the same studio together. Might be a real beat down.
Mixed bag, at best. While Wallace was hostile, it was a mistake to accuse him of using Trump's playbook created unnecessary escalation, and became "the story." Same with being mute at sign off. Otherwise, I think he did a good job of repeating his defenses to the claims of playing dirty, and he did a good job of repeating his anti-Trump message.
Separately, I noticed that NBC showed the likely delegate count later in the program, and Cruz was in 3rd. That explains the question to Cruz about staying in, and Cruz's response about historically, a person has to win one of the first three states, and only he and Trump have done that.
Now NBC pulling up Trump and Rubio clips of the adolescent taunts. Andrea Mitchell says Hillary won;t know how to handle Trump in the general. Todd wonders if DEMs are going to ignore Trump for three months, like the GOP did?
Charlie Cook says that beating Trump has to be an insider's game (GOP game). Rubio, by playing the taunting game, undercuts his own "presidential" image, and he already had a deficit factor there.
Erick Erickson says the conservatives will sit out the election if Trump is the nominee, so Hillary will win.
I think this is the think that makes me loath the Progressives/Marxist poltical movment most. EVERYTHING has to be twisted to serve the Movement. It simply impossible to have any part of your life NOT be politicized now. I have never watched the Oscars but now THEY have to be politicized too. Sad, very sad.
My impression is that they are now in a circular firing squad. And, Trump will prevail!
Cruz actually has a better case for staying in then Rubio. Cruz will probably win TX and AR on Tuesday.
Has anyone seen any indication Rubio will win anywhere?
When did Erickson become a Conservative? He is establishment at best.
Love how the same people who were all outraged when the Dems did this attack on Romney in 2012, now want to play the same card on Trump
Rubio has establishment money so he will stay til Trump has enough delegates. They are hoping for a two man race and young JFK will beat Trump.
Good news is they continue to pour their millions down the drain while Trump continues to win. Do not be surprised with Cruz losing TX.
I’ve read that Rubio may win Minnesota, but you probably have a better feel what’s going on up there.
It’s also predicted that Rubio will lose FL, if he does, he’s toast with both his presidential candidacy and his Senate career, which he decided not to run again this year. Not sure if he could get on the ballot for Senator from FL and if he did he may not win. My guess is he’ll go to K Street and lobby for illegals.
No kidding. It is almost word for word what Reid said about Romney. Should Repubs be concerned about peoples Tax returns? Do they really think Trump would not have the cleanest returns prepared by the best lawyers on the planet? Really?
Does anyone share my frustrations with Romney and the establishment for fighting harder to defeat Trump than they did to defeat Obama in 2012?

YES! I don’t know what I’m going to do about it, but it won’t be to support any GOPe/RNC annointed, appointed, crammed down the electorate throat candidates. Of course they will threaten (as ususal) if you don’t vote for our “annointed, appointed, crammed down the electorate throat candidates” then the Democrats (including Hilly) will win. Well, that won’t work on me any more .... past history tells me that we don’t win anyway with THEIR picks (McCain, Romney) plus they have torpedoed good candidates who would have/could have won with some support (like Ken Cuccinelli in VA - would have saved us from Terry McAuliffe, the Clinton butt kisser). So ..... I see a Republican party suicide in the making because they obviously don’t learn from past mistakes and think that “we the people” are stupid enough to make the same mistake again. What’s the old saying - fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me?
“My Hispanic family is voting for Trump, they want a wall built preferable with land mines”.
I think we need to keep in mind this media portrayal of a monolithic Hispanic or Black or Muslim community is myth. If you are Hispanic watching illegal gangsters wrecking your community, and intimating your people from fighting back, you want someone to stop them. Trump sounds like the guy who is going to be ON your side in that case.
One of the anti-Trump tools is to take the claim the mantle of "conservative," whatever that means is up to the listener. No surprise that Erickson would not support Trump under any party, and I figure Trump will not ever get the support of a good fraction of both social conservatives and party faithful. stands to reason. The social cons think the president sets social policy; and the party faithful are protecting their gravy train, status quo. Change is generally uncomfortable.
Yea, Ditto on the birther issues. Some of the most zealous Cruz supporters on FR were big time pushers of Obama’s ineligibility.
Now it’s okay to be born outside the U.S to a mixed citizenship couple and claim U.S citizenship.
