As fish go toward the Earth's poles as a result of climate change, fishermen in poorer countries will disproportionately feel the impact - putting a strain on worldwide wealth resources, says a new study.
The report from researchers at Rutgers, Princeton, Yale and Arizona State University was recently published in the journal Nature Climate Change. It includes findings that warming temperatures will disperse fish away from the equator, bringing about a "mass redistribution of wealth."
The team looked at data on fish migration, employing a mathematical formula to learn how their movement would affect developing nations' economies.
"What we find is that natural resources like fish are being pushed around by climate change, and that changes who gets access to them," Marlin Pinko at Rutgers said in a release.

Global Warming on Free Republic here, here and here
You’d better duck!
I don’t care where they live, fish fear me.
I apologize for being gone a while. Just a series of unwanted events that distracted creativity. MASLOW Needs of Hierarchy stuff. I went to down to low.
The article is true. During the ice ages every 126,000 years the earth expands to the Arctic circle and this is best measured in Permafrost on the surface and ocean levels.
As oceans re-flood the coast lines and global warming returns as it did 16,000 years ago, the Permafrost moves from say, good guess, Atlanta, Ga to Fairbanks, Alaska.
One can actually see the tree line dive into the sea on one of the Alaska coast lines. So, is there migration? Yes,
In Alaska, Wolf groups are growing and moving south. Why? We are in a cooling period until 2035. Low Sunspot Minimum.
However, overall warming is growing. Thus, a migration of fish, Army Ants, Pythons and such moving north.
What is going to happen? A lot of cold blooded animals such as pythons and Boas, lizards are just simply going to die out for a while until 2035.
African Bees will be held back a while.
But, this will all begin to grow in 2030 with the return of sunspot activity and hurricanes too.
We should see a continued drop in hurricanes until zero in 2025. I haven’t relooked my numbers in two years but a hurricane or tropical storm here and there. Like throw another shrimp on the Barbie.
Good to be back.

Obviously a fake name. Marlin=fish, Pinko=commie.
Thats is so funny! the world of liberals, your logic will be hard to refute!!
Are you sure you are on the north side of the fish? If you are on the south side of the fish and they are headed toward the North Pole, it’s no wonder you aren’t catching any.
It’s the details like that that separate fisher boys from fishermen.
YMMV in the Southern Hemisphere.
Knew I must be doing something wrong.......
The next time you’re standing on the north bank and reelin’ ‘em in, just say a little “thanks” to your FRiend.
Great post, welcome back!
So much for evolution.
Do people really get paid to write this crap?
“World ends. Women and minorities most effected.”
Don’t people get some real hurt by El Niño as it is?
