The first rally today, Saturday, February 27, 2016 is in Bentonville, AR at the Bentonville Regional Airport. The event is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM CST.
Bentonville is the tenth-largest city in Arkansas and the county seat of Benton County. The city is centrally located in the county with Rogers adjacent to the east. The city is the headquarters of Walmart, which is the world's largest retailer. Originally named Osage after the Osage Indians who hunted in the area when white settlers first moved to the area in 1837, the community was renamed to Bentonville in 1843 in honor of Missouri politician Thomas Hart Benton and was first incorporated on April 3, 1873. It is one of the four main cities in the four-county Northwest Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is ranked 109th in terms of population in the United States with 463,204 in 2010 according to the United States Census Bureau. The city itself had a population of 35,301 at the 2010 Census, with an estimated population of 40,167 in 2013.
The second rally today, Saturday, February 27, 2016, is in Millington, TN at the Millington Regional Jetport. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM CST.
Millington is a city in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 10,176. Millington is the home of the Memphis International Raceway. It was granted the title Flag City Tennessee by the Tennessee State Legislature.
Kasich function was to take Ohio so no insurgent could get 8 states. Rubio was to get FL, Christie NJ, Cruz, TX, and so forth. Each player could get a few states, but none could get 8. Trump blew up the entire plan. Heck, Trump would have blown up pretty much ANY plan!
Wow and that was in 2005, yeah, he has been around for a while!
Wow!
No candidate has a MAJORITY of delegates in those states.
He was short (by 1 in each, IIRC) in NH and NV of getting the Majority of the delegates. Very close, though.
In addition Rule #40 changed in 2014 from previously five needed state wins, to a newer threshold of eight (8):
Officially, its Rule 40 in the RNC handbook and it states that any candidate for president shall demonstrate the support of a majority of the delegates from each of eight (8) or more states before their name is presented for nomination at the national convention. (article March 2014)
A dirty trick by GOP establishment to have control of who the GOP candidate will be. Screw “we the people”.
Trump is exposing the power brokers. He knows these people. He knows where all the bodies are buried and he has a big mouth! Boom!
So far, Trump has:
IA 7 of 30 delegates
NH 11 of 23 delegates
*SC 50 of 50 delegates
NV 14 of 30 delegates.
==
*That gives Trump 1 of the 8 needed for the convention.
None of the others even come close to that.
Hello PJ and Nikos . . . Would you please add me to your Trump Family Ping Lists . . . thank you very much.
Interesting, Trump is being rather benign with Cruz.
Is it because he doesn’t see him as a threat, or Cruz is back in the running for VP?
He will have more after Tuesday!
Isn’t Bentonville where Walmart has its HQ?
The pattern I see is that Trump focuses on either the candidate closest to him in popularity, or the candidate who is getting the most press in mounting criticism of Trump. It’s Rubio’s turn in the barrel. I don;t think Trump and Cruz will ever get along except at arm’s length.
He wants Cruz to do better than establishment Rubio. Cruz is part of the anti esstablishment group taking out the Rino
Makes sense. Thanks.
Are the delegates won by Cruz/Rubio/Carson/Kasich/Bush allowed to change if their candidate drops out?
Maybe waiting for Tuesday.
CRuzio is in his kennel, whimpering, begging Romney to give him another bone...or a life line.
Yes.
