Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey endorsed Donald J. Trump on Friday, a major turn in a wild race and one that gives the New York businessman a major boost as he heads into the pivotal Super Tuesday contests.
Mr. Christie was a candidate himself until he came in sixth place in New Hampshireâs primary. But his backing of Mr. Trump comes after weeks of him saying that it was time for the âentertainmentâ portion of the race to end, and as he had said that the type of executive leadership that a governor has is important.

I love it!
Still predicting a map that looks something like this:
Don't get complacent. This is war for the survival of our republic! Fight on!
I think Trump wins NY.
You are absolutely right. Cruz wanted to increase the H1-B visas. That is killing the American worker. From construction, to banking, to the IT industry and other areas. I stopped supporting Cruz because of that. I just can't support anyone who doesn't understand that issue and what it's doing to the American people.
I can honestly say, while I am a strong Trump supporter, I respect Christie for fighting the liberals in NJ. NJ is not Alabama or Texas.
Dude, we DID NOT WANT HIM FOR PRESIDENT. Is that clear enough for you ?
Lesser office, like AG, FINE.
Unfortunately I couldnât agree more unless Cruz pulls off a miracle in a few days. The media talking points are Rubio-Rubio-Rubio until the SEC.
Yep. That’s what is so sad about Cruz abandoning conservative principles by hoping the sack with Gang of 8 Rubio. It’s not going to change anything.
It is pathetic. I was a Cruz advocate until Iowa, but regardless, I try not to insult anyone here who’s opinions are different from mine. This name calling (bot) is juvenile.
Yes, meet your next Attorney General. And check out the press conference for this. It's great. Christie is a great addition -- another articulate fighter! |
Maybe. . but Trumps first question should be, "I'm gonna' prosecute Hillary, you in?"
Sure.... Sure. Sheriff Joe Araio and Sarah Palin know it.... Sure... Sure. Flap your gums.
I view this as a rebellion, and sometimes leaders of a rebellion are rough around the edges. But, he's connecting with an awful lot of voters by non-political speak.
My conclusion is it's worth the risk. I don't think he's Liberal and I don't think he's an absolute Conservative. Kind of think he's Conservative on important issues like economy (tax cuts), trade and Illegal Immigration.
As for being civilized, I suspect there will be a pivot towards more civilized speak during the general....But I could be wrong (LOL)
NY is at least 50-50 for Trump. If nothing else, it will force Hilda to spend money in expensive NY.
Trump did not run in the Reform party. How is applying and then withdrawing from the race granting you election politicking experience????
Never. The Ruling Class is the Ruling Class and this people want a king. Government is their god, admitted or not. Both sides of the political spectrum. They want a king as long as he is their king. They are fine with a devil as long as he is their demon. And they shall have their king, and everything that comes with it.

If you are a criminal and Christie is coming for you, beg for mercy. We can make fun of Christie for his weight and for hugging Obama but he was one of the scariest effective attorney generals we have ever seen since Giuliani who groomed him. We also forget that before Giuliani became mayor (and he was a great crime fighting and economics mayor in a almost dead city) he was a scary tough AG who actually finally broke the 5 families mafia.
Dead on! Arpaio, Palin, Graham, Brown, Robertson. Damn Easterners.
I don’t have a candidate. I am too busy trying to weigh the flaws of the remaining contenders and thinking about 1) how this will play out in the general election campaign, and 2) what each would bring to the table in terms of the actual governing of this nation.
And, yes, to state the obvious, the party of total corruption (that would be the dems), offers nothing, worse than nothing, just more of the same soul-eating destruction visited on this nation by the likes of Barack Obama and his many sycophants, whether succeeded by Hillary the Corrupt or by Bernie the Clueless.
And, yes, I do think a number of things need to be burned down. But equally I know that something must be built or rebuilt on the burnt ground. In other words, it is one thing to despise the current administration, which I do, and to be disheartened and angry with the republican opposition to it, which I am, but another to be confident that what comes next will actually be better. Caution is in order.
No Trump with an assist from Christie is closing the deal and he’s doing it today. Its all over but the weeping.
