Kasich said in the debate (Paraphrase) -- If you won't service a gay wedding, where is it going to end? If you object to divorce, are you now going to refuse service to a divorced person?

Of course, his reasoning will be endless ... what about those who sleep around? Read porn? etc.

It’s called “free association”’ Johnny. You might want to look into it.

Nobody has refused to service to any individual. What they have refused is participating in an event they don’t agree with and find sinful. By Kasich’s logic, Christian photographers should be forced to shoot pornography and Christian doctors and nurses should be forced to do abortions as well.

Status Quo Kasich is like a feather flowing in the wind.

If a flaming Christian Revival hit our nation with millions repenting and coming to Christ, he’d denounce his previous statements and go with that flow also.

Since the winds are feeding the other direction, he goes along with them.

Kasich can go choke to death.

I’d personally hand over any and every bastard that helped push faggot-marriage onto this country to an ISIS headchopper, if I had my way.

People assume Kasich has principles because when he was younger he did. They need to know that after he left the HOR he worked for Lehman Brothers. He went over to the dark side, so it seems.

By Kasich's reasoning, it would be okay for doctors to perform abortions as long as they prayed for the souls of those who got one. And to force employers to provide birth control in insurance policies as long as they said a rosary.

It's fun that folks are seeing what we OH folks have to put up with from this fake conservative.

In one of the first debates he spoke about attending a gay wedding. Like Christie, he strikes me as wanting to please the intelligentsia/supposedly sophisticated, too much.

Kasich miscalculated and revealed his homo loving soul too early.

The next time a liberal tells you it’s settled law, tell them this: There once was a time in this country when slavery was settled law....that didn’t make it right.

In November, for example, he called for a new government agency to promote "Judeo-Christian values.

Another Big Government Agency. That blew his creds right there.

No, that is the opposite of American Christian values to do something of the sort.

Big screw up by Kasich. The baker was not denying life-saving services. They were trying to force him to bake a cake he did not want to bake. Any number of other bakers would have made it. It was an evil set up to destroy a Christian baker.

Anyone really listening knew he had no creds to begin with.

He blew his “Christian cred” (whatever that is) when he told Christians that Jesus would want them to support Obamacare and Welfare expansion.

IIRC, Kasich is an Episcopalian. My memory says they have had gay bishops for a long time now and that is the basis of the split that has left the ECUSA and has gone over to the African patriarchs. Anyone know if I have that correct?

He might have cost himself support, but Kasich is a solid Christian in my opinion. From what I see, his view is based on the secularization of “marriage” as a legal entity of “rights”, and not the Biblical model that God intends.

I agree with this view that they can call it whatever they want, it isn’t what Jesus speaks of in Matthew 19 where the topic was divorce, which had already begun secularizing marriage (redefining God’s institution to serve personal interests) even then.

As for commerce, I disagree with Kasich’s easy dismissal, but I have no problem with his “Christian Cred”.

It shouldn’t matter our reasons for refusing service. We should have the absolute freedom to be as arbitrary as we are with our spending as customers of other vendors in our reasoning.

Why do customers get the upper hand in discriminating when merchants don’t get a say? Unequal protection, anyone?

Kasich says he doesn’t find God in church, even though he joined a conservative Anglican church body:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kasich#Personal_life

Most Orthodox Christians have a direct encounter with God in Divine Liturgy!!!!

No Christian should be forced to serve “gay” weddings, parades, etc., or to teach “gay” materials in schools!!!! Yecccchhhh and Phooey!!!!

If they want me to cater their “divorce party”, then yes.
