TED CRUZ TROUNCING DONALD TRUMP IN TEXAS
Washington Times ^ | February 25, 2016 | David Sherfinski

Posted on 02/25/2016 9:54:32 AM PST by GodGunsGuts

Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas is leading 2016 GOP presidential rival Donald Trump by 15 points in the senator's home state, according to a poll released Thursday just days ahead of Super Tuesday.

Mr. Cruz was at 38 percent support among likely Republican primary voters in Texas, with Mr. Trump at 23 percent and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida at 21 percent, according to the survey from Monmouth University conducted from Monday to Wednesday.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson was at 6 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich was at 5 percent.

"Cruz looks to be well-positioned in Texas. The challenge for him is that a lot of other states are also on the slate for Super Tuesday," said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmout University Polling Institute.

Texas is one of 11 states where voters will head to the polls Tuesday to make their selections for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, and its 155 delegates up for grabs is by far the most of any state.

Other recent polls on the state have ranged from a tie between Mr. Cruz and Mr. Trump to a 15-point edge for Mr. Cruz, who is trying to demonstrate that he is the only candidate in the race who can take down the billionaire businessman.

On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had a better than 2-to-1 advantage over Sen. Bernard Sanders of Vermont, 64 percent to 30 percent.

“In this case Levin was playing a clip of Trump caught bald faced lying”

Yeah, I know your point. My point was the same; Cruz bald-faced lying about his positions.

Or he could play the video of Cruz claiming on the O’Reilly Trump was for citizenship for illegals.

And Rush just said that Cruz in not a liar. Or he makes out that only Trump has called Cruz a liar. Who is lying there?

--This poll includes the 22 and 23, before the results of NV were known. We'll see what the polls out of TX look like this weekend.

The debate tonight may also have an impact on how TX turns out. I predict Trump will have a strong performance, while Cruz could damage himself, as he's desperate.

Well - one of the major complaints against the establishment GOP is they listen to the DemocRATS, and not to the PEOPLE. Cruz is not willing to side with the DemocRATS because they ARE WRONG and their legislation shows that they are wrong. Cruz REFUSES to sign on to legislation that is NOT LEGAL.

The GOP-e always tell people they are willing to cross the isle and work with the other side. I’m quite sure this advice was given to the GOP-e by the DemocRATS.

I don’t want a go-along to get-along - I want someone who knows the law well enough to stand on their own two feet and not consult with the DemocRATS on anything. The reason I say that is because for hundreds of years, the DemocRATS have had only one goal - TO DESTROY THE UNITED STATES. Why do you think they elected Obama? They expected him to accomplish that goal. Who wants to side with THEM?

Trump has told people that he’s friends with Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid. Therefore, where do you think Trump got the idea that Cruz was “nasty”? Trump got it from Mitch and Harry - because I’ve heard them say exactly the same things about Cruz. And, this was probably the primary reason that Rush called Trump on it.

You know, people would be able to defend Cruz better if they would just listen to his YouTube speeches. Yes, he repeats himself; but then somewhere in the middle of the message, he explains something that most people don’t know about him or his actions.

Rush was just apoplectic, AGAIN, over the Cruz dirty trick on Carson. He thinks it’s silly schoolyard stuff and Cruz did no wrong, and Rush again blames CNN.

Rush is full of shite. I saw the CNN newscast live and I read the reporters actual tweets online. I saw on CNN their fact checker guy explain how they NEVER said Carson was quitting and inferred nothing into the facts, just reported them.

Ted Cruz people, Representative Steve King for one, tweeted to caucus workers that Carson was out and to steal his voters (my words not his) CNN was correcting THAT record, not their record, as CNN’s record was totally accurate and never said Carson was quitting, immediately upon hearing it, because they were being blamed for something they didn’t do. This was well BEFORE any voting started.

This was ABSOLUTELY a Cruz dirty trick. Did he know about it? Of course he did. Reports of Carson dropping out didn’t reach Ted’s enormous ears? Did it cost Trump the win? Of course not, but does that really matter? It still was a dirty trick. Had it been in the Democrat NH race, it would have made a difference.

In my small town, the top position of supervisor has been won TWICE by one vote.

Rush pretending to not know this is equally as absurd.

Rush is almost as yesterday as Beck & Levin. All establishment and more important than we peons.

Hannity and Laura Ingram are now top of my list.

*Bordering* on defamation? If Defamation is Mexico, Trumps attacks on Cruz are at about.....Guadalajara.

Trumpers making hay over a Rush article yesterday calling Trump “Donaldus Maximus”.

Rush has always blamed everyone except Cruz.

“Hannity and Laura Ingram are now top of my list.”

Looks like I will have to agree with that.

Some things I like about Cruz, some I don’t.
And none are completely honest.

But Trump, everything about him rings ‘con-man’ to me.

Cruz may very well lose Texas to Trump momentum.

Fact of life.

....”Cruz in his home state is a reason to Cheer?”....

Of course why wouldn’t it be. We have seen other candidates loose their home state so yes Cheering will be in order if he wins.

It actually took just three posts before the Trumpster gang arrived bashing and laughing as is their usual footprint with any Cruz thread......yet it’s against the rules to leave tracks on their threads. Then you’re a troll.

Do you have a problem with Cruz Articles being posted on FR? There was a time these were more than welcomed here...this is a race involving more than one candidate you know, and posters can and do post articles regarding any of the candidates.

“Yawn...Ted is far from the most conservative candidate.”

Yawn is right. You are asleep at the wheel and need to wake up.

Show me one, just ONE, conservative organization that rates candidates that does not rate Cruz at the top.

Show me which candidate rates more conservative by any conservative organization, and usafa92’s personal blog does not count.

There is an incredibly wide chasm between your opinion and the facts.

“Enjoy the next week. It’s all the time Ted has left in the race.”

Acting as if that would be good news is like Muslims celebrating 911. Too bad so many “conservatives” don’t have sense enough to see it.

I would be disappointed, but not surprised, if Cruz wins Texas. Feel the same way about Trump and New York on April 19.

Im in Texas, early voted yesterday. Spoke to two friends today and they had just voted. Out of the four of us, three votes for Trump, one for Cruz. If that is the norm, not looking too good for Cruz.
