The March 2016 American Rifleman contains this year's ballot for the NRA Board of Directors, as well as an "recall vote" to remove Grover Norquist from the Board for his alleged ties to radical Islam. I am not sure how I intend to vote and quite frankly, I don't know a lot about the controversy; but I am interested in the opinions of others here at FR.
Then you should be getting a ballot in the mail.
I can’t imagine how Grover managed to get on the board in the first place.
As a NRA Lifer myself, I am voting to recall him.
He’s a snake, an open Border shill.
Grover needs to go. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Apr. 15, 2015 update: Norquist today resigned his board membership from the National Rifle Association. According to FoxNews.com, he did so "amid allegations of ties to radical Muslims. . . . a month after radio host Glenn Beck told his audience that Wayne LaPierre, the executive vice president of the NRA, had initiated an investigation into Norquist for alleged ties to Islamist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood." Beck's TheBlaze website reported that NRA board members received a notice that Norquist "voluntarily suspended his board activities pending the outcome of the investigation."
Did the investigation exonerate him, or he somehow get back on the board?
You DON”T KNOW????
really?
What kind of IDIOT are you, anyway?
That is not the NRA’s issue, but it is an important issue.
We cannot preserve the Second Amendment with leaders who destroy families - the foundation of any society. Dump Norquist.
Jeez...that’s a bed of snakes.
While innuendo has no place in a decision of this type, I cannot feel that Norquist’s various associations can bring any value to the NRA and can only harm the Association.
When in doubt, throw him out.
The K Street project was supposedly aimed at increasing the support of business lobbyists to Republican candidates in order to balance the union lobbyists supporting Democrat candidates.
What it has morphed into is GOPe, i.e. crony capitalists buying off Republicans to do their bidding rather than that of the American people.
At no point has Norquist apologized for the evil monster he has created.
My own suspicion is that Norquist decided to be a vocal supporter of low taxes because he knew it was the one low-hanging-fruit issue that he could get a majority of Americans to support. He became the low-tax guy and rode that horse to where he is today.
Whether or not he really cares about low taxes is now up for debate. I think Norquist is for Norquist and needs to be sent packing back to the obscurity from which he came.
My understanding is that the NRA Board of Directors has conducted a investigation of the allegations behind the recall petition, and has concluded they are without merit. The Board is urging NRA members to vote against the Norquist recall and in favor of retaining Norquist on the Board.
One of my favorite teachers in high school used to say, “there is no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid answers.” Thanks for proving him right.
One of the most effective and most common tactics in use against US these days is to infiltrate or buy high quality organizations and businesses that are known by their effectiveness, reputation and/or for their impeccable credibility.
As such, Grover Norquist is one of the main reasons I ignore all correspondence from the NRA these days.
No Taqiyya for me, thanks. That shiite gives me a headache.

Frank Gaffney (Glenn Beck’s source) is THE guy to listen to about Grover Norquist.
If you are not aware of this series by Frank Gaffney, you need to watch ALL 10 videos. Nothing but info.
At the very least, watch THIS video. The other episodes are right there in the right side panel.
I have no idea.
He hangs around like cobwebs, though.
No skin in this game. I left the NRA years ago. I had enough of the ‘willing accomplice’ (supporting DEMs and ‘common sense gun control’). That’s not pro-2nd A. enough for my tastes.
Didn’t help seeing all the friggin’ MAIL I got day-in/day-out and noting THAT costs $$$$.
#5 Then he needs to be gone along with all his buddies.
I’m going to make a few phone calls, and then make up my mind.
But I’ve been busy cleaning up after a *skunk* incident in our yard.
Dog just had to get washed. What a mess!
Now I’ll be able to concentrate on this issue.
Mr Norquist is married to a Saudi Muslim. According to sharia law, a Muslim woman may NOT marry an infidel, except if he recites ths shaha rd a and joins TROP. Putting Norquist on t he NRA BOARD WOULD BE A VERY GRAVE MISTAKE!
