Nope - Cruz would not leave his Senate seat for VP. He's far more important in exposing establishment RINO's in the Senate. If Trump is the nominee, he better STFU on calling Cruz a liar as he would be perfect on the Supreme Court or at least Atty General.

Trump is an unforgiving guy though, so I bet he'll pass on Cruz altogether. He just better be smart and pick a REAL conservative as his VP.

only in FReeper fantasyland...

Scott Walker
John Kasich
Susanna Martinez
Rick Scott
Rob Portman

All the above fit his comment about wanting someone who had political experience to help get things thru Congress. Otherwise, a former corporate CEO or executive.

Trump likes the lapdog Roobio. Trump wants to make peace with the establishment. Trump does not give a crap about conservatives.

If Trump gets the nomination, it will be either be Trump-Rubio or Trump-Kasich. Conservatives will be expected to be obedient battered wives and go along. Conservatives took it in 1992 with Pappy Boosh, in 1996 with Dole, in 2000-2004 with Moron Bush, in 2008 with McPain, in 2012 with Mittens, and in 2016 with Trump, but hopefully not.

He said he wants someone knowledgeable about congressional workings. That puts Cruz in the picture. And rubio. But they are first termers, so it would be possible trump might not see them as legislative experts. I would pick Cruz, but Cruz doesn’t open up a state like rubio does. Kasich gives both but he’s just not a fighter.

Don’t know, he might send Cruz to the Supreme Court.
