Further proof that Trump will Say ANYTHING to get elected.
Lie! His Donaldness didn’t say that.... even if he did. I’m just gearing up for the General when we have to support this gas bag of Hillary.
I meant when we have to support this gas bag over Hillary. The comparison was an intended mistype. I’d apologize, but that’s for sissies.
He said after border security, he’ll do amnesty.
That’s Rubio’s position.
And Trump said he’s for sending illegals home, then letting them back in. (Maybe so they can work for him?)
Taht’s called touchback amnesty.
Donald Trump is for amnesty. His record proves it.
Trump’s amnesty will be terrific, the best in the world. Because, Trump! /s
It will be YUGE!
“How is Ted Cruz going to deal with illegals? He has stated he will not use force to remove illegals.”
Wrong!
Not my assertion at all. Try reading what I said again, and focus on the going though the requirements and process already established for becoming a naturalized citizen. But then you say:
Second, no president does anything beyond setting a course. They can suggest legislation, but it requires someone to introduce the legislation.
Amnesty is legislation. We already have legislation in place as to how a person immigrating to this country can become a legal citizen. Then you admit the truth.
I don't know what Mr. Cruz desires. There is no way to forcibly deport all illegals who are here now. It's not even possible to deport a sizable percentage forcibly. But you can put policies in place (some by executive action, but most legislatively) to make it less attractive to be here illegally.
How do we make it less attractive then the hell holes they are coming from? Our poorest among us live so much better than where they came from. So nothing has been done to remove them and they remain illegals here. Faced with no way of supporting themselves, and no desire to return to whence they came, they will resort to acts of crime. Bravo you haven't granted them amnesty, nor have they been removed, but for certain a new breed of criminals has been created for certain.
I said those who have nothing established here are gone. Those who have been here and established themselves and have shown they appreciate the opportunities America has afforded them, we work with. However, we do not offer them blanket amnesty. They must go through the steps to obtain legal naturalized citizenship.
Look I am not trying to create animosity between us, because we desire the same thing, we just disagree who is better suited to get the job done.
When you look at the options, Ted has to have either some form of amnesty or a plan very similar to that of Trump's.
However, Ted is playing catch up in my opinion and this would not even be in his lexicon in the campaign if it weren't for Trump. Instead he is relying solely on his statements made regarding illegal immigration from the past and providing very little in the way of detail now. If you start being honest with yourself instead of solely being protective of Ted then you will see I have a valid point.
But the bigger picture is Trump has the momentum, and Ted is falling further back.
Also Ted has some real issues with his being natural born, whether you want to admit it or not. There is no doubt Ted Cruz is a citizen, however, his citizenship derives from Congressional legislation dealing with children born out of the country with at least one parent citizen. A natural born citizen is one where no questions can be raised. The only situation where that occurs is a child born in this country or her territories to citizen parents. As much as I might like Ted who obviously is in my opinion a solid conservative, unfortunately he does not meet the requirements as spelled out in the Constitution to seek the Presidency. The Constitution means more to me than having Ted become President.
That's why I would rather see him on the Supreme Court where he can provide many years of protection to this country than even a President can because, of the limitations of holding that office.
One thing is imperative, this stupid bickering between Trump & Cruz supporters has got to stop, and it has got to stop now.
Trump is really wishy-washy. It is as if he has no short term memory, no idea what he stated last week, or even yesterday. It is entertaining to watch the carnival barker. Two headed lady or the five headed goat, your choice folks as he makes off with your wallet.
Hope and change 2 is all he really is—but because he is a superb fraudster he may just earn my vote because of it!
I honestly believe he could be demolished in the so called debates—he gets really flustered when the least challenged-his ego gets the best of him. Spin him like a top in less than a minute.
Easily beaten—A Don Rickles type would split that imposter like a wedge through balsa. It sure would be fun to watch!
Willful fools.
“No. It is you Cruz-bots who love Cruz simply for his state of being”
I’ve been following Cruz since before he was a Senator. So it’s more than just his “state of being” that has my support.
What’s with Trump’s touch-back plan? That was what a lot of open-borders politicians were pushing years ago in one of the many amnesty pushes.
Why bother to deport them if they will just be readmitted as legals? Will that exercise launder them so they will be new voters?
And is it true there will be “lots of them” (touch-backs) under Trump’s proposal?
I guess this is a clone Trump had built to play Cruz in this interview. Is that your take?
Anyone can say anything, but if there is not bite behind the bark, the bark is useless.
I have not heard Trump mention that he’s going to export the illegals for a long time... Building the wall is great, but I want the illegals out of this society. It’s adding to corruption - the failure of the rule of law.
Shipping out just the gang members and drug dealers and jihadists is not enough. They all have to go back to their countries and apply to get into the US.
I think that it is extraordinarily unlikely that we're going to have a "solid majority" in the Senate. I think we'll be lucky to hold on to the Senate at all because the numbers are horrible.
We currently have a 54-46 advantage, but only ten Democrat seats are up this election, and 24 Republican seats are up. It's all the tea party seats from the off-year election in 2010 when Republicans had a huge turnout advantage. The GOP never gets that big a turnout advantage in non-off years. The 24-10 numbers game alone means we're almost guaranteed to lose seats. I don't think I've seen a single projection that we increase or even hold on to our margin. It's going to shrink, and the only question is by how much.
Plus, it looks like our nominee is the guy who is running against incumbents and established Republicans. So if Trump is fortunate enough to convince people to "get rid of all those career pols/throw the bums out", and win, that same PO'd, anti-establishment electorate is likely to give the boot to incumbents. And since it is 24 Republican seats up and only 10 Democrats, an anti-incumbent/anti-politician mood benefits the Democrat attempt to reclaim the Senate.
Anyway, I think it most likely that either the Democrats win actual control of the Senate, or the GOP control is razor thin and dependent upon some moderates. That'll mean there won't be anything close to a filibuster-proof majority. And I think those moderates are going to run in terror from Trump's comparatively extreme immigration agenda.
Trump was named in the lawsuit, and lost. Not hard to research, you might find other interesting items while leaving you rebooking.
