Glenn Beck Calls Trump Supporters 'Brown Shirts' after Trump Crashes His Caucus Speech

Talk radio host Glenn Beck, who was in Nevada campaigning on behalf of Sen. Ted Cruz at the caucus, denounced Donald Trump's supporters as "brown shirts" after the GOP frontrunner upstaged Beck by making an impromptu appearance at the same caucus venue he was speaking at.

I thought that was hilarious.

First, I don't think Trump showing up at the caucus site when Beck was there was intentional. I sincerely doubt the Trump team is tracking Glenn Beck's personal appearance schedule.

However, once he was there, he could have waited until Beck had finished spewing his line of BS, and then entered the caucus room.

Not doing that was a bold and Trumpian choice. It was awesome!

Beck is mentally unstable but I don’t think you are. It is disgraceful for you to call other freepers brownshirts knowing the connotation. We are all Americans and want what we believe to be the best for America. That may make us incorrect in the mind of the other side, but some names are really below the level of human dignity.

Well, the video speaks for itself. Kind of hard to refute what Beck said.

Those goose-stepping Trumpeteers burst into the place smashing windows, setting the place on fire, shouting Nazi slogans, beating up Jews and spray painting yellow stars on them. It was like Kristallnacht all over again.

This latest dust-up isn't the only controversy surrounding Beck today. The museum spokesperson at George Washington's Mount Vernon estate told the Huffington Post that George Washington's two copies of Miguel de Cervantes Don Quixote are "stored safely" in their collection. Beck has been carrying around a copy of the classic novel as a prop in his stump speech for Cruz, telling audiences that his book was the very one that George Washington purchased on the same day the Constitution was signed. The curators at Mount Vernon helpfully tweeted a photograph of the real copy Washington purchased that day:

And if Beck really does have a copy, he sure doesn't treat it well since the article has a pic of Beck holding it WITHOUT wearing gloves.

I agree. I don’t recognize Ted from when he first ran for senator in Texas and I know it’s due to the company he is keeping this primary. He’s entangled himself with advisors, managers and Beck, all of whom are doing Ted no favors. I faceplanted when he latched onto Beck, because once you let Beck into your house, he’s like a diva vampire who sucks all the life essence out of you and leaves you a shell of your former self.
