We'll see how desperate the GOP is. If they really don't want to nominate Trump, there needs to be some pretty fast "smokey back room" agreements to get everyone but Rubio to drop out. It's the only chance they have and it's got to happen before Super Tuesday or Trump will win every state except Florida, Ohio and Texas. (and he may do well there too)

Does anyone still think he's going to just fall to the side?

No and other than possibly AR and TX, I don’t see Trump losing anywhere for the next month

They are going to have to come up with something quick to stop Trump.

There hasn’t been a ‘Republican’ party for a long time.

Trump is kicking down a door on rusted hinges ... a wooden door that is worm-eaten and rotted.

Oh please, please, please go for it. It will demonstrate once and for all, if anyone needs convincing, how craven GOPe really is. There is nothing there which they could no better demonstrate than by anointing as their chosen leader someone where no one is home.

The establishment GOPe burned that bridge with Cruz. As long as Cruz stays in, Rubio cannot get traction which means Trump will be the nominee.

After looking at this for a while, and going back over the entire process, one line keeps coming to the forefront. “”I’m a big fan of Donald’s, and we talked about the race,” Cruz told reporters. “We talked about how we are each enjoying it and how there is a need for more truth tellers.””

I think Cruz and Trump set this whole thing up. They sucked all the oxygen out of the room, together they have close to 70% of the votes and both have a war chest that is more than the GOPe.

Something is amiss.

My Question for Rubio is, do your voters got to Cruz or Trump?, my Question for Cruz is do your voters go to Rubio or Trump?

I profess Trump benefits from Cruz bowing out and Cruz benefits from Rubio bowing out.

Where is the path for Rubio! Convention shenanigans?

There are currently two brands of Democrats out there; felonist and a socialist.

No wonder the Lamestream press has it out for Republicans.

"Trump’s angry populism."

Trump is an angry nazi, and you're all angry rubes following him blindly into oblivion. Got it?

Good, now go vote for Rubio like a good little stooge...

“Ted Cruz is the leader of the traditional conservative purists.”

I tuned out after this. Mostly because I’m a Libertarian, not a “Conservative purist” who wouldn’t be caught dead voting for Trump.

To answer your question, I think there is something like a 10% chance that the GOPe will find a way to stop him.

And while I have been ALL for an overthrow of the GOPe, it was NOT to replace it with a Frat Boy Clown who is utterly inept at both business and politics.

The only hope is that some decent, solid conservatism can rise from the ashes. I am beginning to have my doubts.

Trump has a very large segment of the conservative base.

Like all pundents they misrepresent who support him.

I’m a Cruz supporter, and I have considered Trump the likely winner in Florida since September. Those ex-New Yorkers go his way. Old folks go more for Trump, younger folks for Cruz. It’s winner-take-all, so Cruz will have a ground game, but won’t spend as muchper capita in Florida as he will in Grogia and Tennessee.

The Establishment would love everyone to rally behind Rubio.

That will never happen.

Cruz dropping out would have 80% of his supporters going to Trump.

Because THE PROBLEM IS THE ESTABLISHMENT.

This election is particularly a rejection of THEM.

Nobody with a hint of establishment can possibly win this.

Boner / McTurtle / WSJ / Ryan / NR / Hewitt / Gigot, etc.

Death to the Uniparty!

Trump is going to win Florida. I WOULD bet money on it. He’s been here a bunch of times to huge overflowing audiences and people love him. Marco Rubio is “that amnesty guy whose from here, right?”

Trump didn’t shatter the GOP, the voters who kept sending them to Washington shattered the GOP. The voters got tired of watching Republicans bend over for DemocRATS even when we gave them the majorities in Congress. The voters didn’t like seeing Republicans “reaching across the aisle” all of the time to give the minority Socialist DemocRATS EVERYTHING they wanted.
