WATCH: Trump Falsely Tells Voters Cruz Left Nevada Before Caucus
Conservative Review ^ | February 23, 2016

This afternoon in Sparks Nevada. Donald Trump told voters that all the candidates had left the State of Nevada in the morning, and were unworthy of their support. Here is Trump saying it:

It is true that Marco Rubio and John Kasich are not in Nevada for the running of the caucuses. Rubio is in Michigan, and Kasich was in Georgia. But there's a problem for Trump. Trump strongly reacted to the Cruz campaign using a media report in the Iowa Caucuses against Ben Carson, calling Cruz's victory a fraud.

This time it was Trump himself saying that Cruz had left the state and was not worthy of voters votes for doing so. Multiple tweets from reporters show Cruz in Nevada, speaking at caucuses.

An hour later as caucusing is well under way, Cruz is still in Nevada

Will Trump hold himself to his own standard?

I really think the Cruzers should hang it up before they embarrass themselves further.

Your desperation is obvious, and it’s unbecoming to the Cruz campaign.

Gosh - how terrible. I think I'll have to switch who I'm backing again (was Cruz/Trump and now Trump/Cruz) but I am really getting sick of what the "Cruz or Lose" losers are doing to ensure that we lose even though we have a candidate that can sweep the Generals have been doing so maybe I'll just mark Cruz off my list because he hasn't demonstrated the ability to win in November and I'm not for throwing in the towel in a hissy fit and calling it "principles"...

It could have been an honest mistake. It looks like the real Ted Cruz never showed up in Nevada. He lost to GOPe, Rubio who really wasn’t there. Ted is stacking up a big trail of losses to the establishment just like he has in congress. I had great hope, but you scratch the surface, he’s just another politician who talks about how he played the game.

Wow. Thanks. I had not known that. I will immediately put myself on a reeducation program to install the habit of proper brushing technique. The things one can pick up on this forum.

“I stick with Ted Cruz, the man of principle, character and a proven tract record”

Giving fast track authority to (of all people) obama to negotiate a largely secret deal that ultimately usurps our sovereignty? Is that what you mean by “principle”?

‘course Goldman Sachs doesn’t have a problem with that...

OMG! This is the nail in the coffin for Trump’s campaign. He is going to hold a press conference any minute now and announce that he is dropping out. /s

Cruz said that Carson dropped out of the race! Trump was pointing out that these guys didn’t care enough to stay in the state for the caucus. He’s totally right and good to say that! This is the biggest bullcrap post I have seen in two weeks.

Mark Levin is, at the end of the day, Establishment, just like his buddy Sean.

Sure, he’ll throw us a bone once in a while, but when Rove/Preibus start to bark, Levin falls into line.

Ohmygosh. What deceptive reporting! Trump said "those other guys, they're all gone". He didn't name anyone specifically. He didn't tweet a rumor that they all dropped out of the race. He never said "Cruz is Gone" as the article claims.

You Cruz guys should give it up and let Senator Cruz go back to the US Senate and clean up his reputation, far away from his campaign staff. I say that as an original supporter who has become totally disgusted with his campaign tactics, some parts of his resume and his convoluted explanations for bad votes.

Did he say Cruz has dropped out of the race or simply he left the state? How many Cruz voters changed their mind because he heard Trump said Cruz left the state? Seriously, you ppl are grasping at straws.

The sad part about this is that Cruz could have put his hat in the ring, stood on principle, realized that Trump was the better man for the job at the time, and withdrawn with his reputation greatly enhanced and considered the best candidate next time around. Instead his supporters have so slimed the reputation of this FIRST TERM SENATOR that I don't think one of those disaster restoration services could clean him up and get him back on the shelf in one piece.

He is in his first term after all. Before you win the Olympic decathalon you lose lots and lots of times. You get better each time until you win. You don't quite and call all of your competitors nasty things.
