After Jamiel Shaw's son, Jamiel Shaw Jr., was killed back in 2008, there was a splash of media attention mourning the senseless murder of a young man on the right path. Then came a long, dark silence when it seemed that the world forgot.
But Donald Trump, who Shaw believes was "sent from God," didn't forget.
Last year, the Republican presidential candidate contacted Shaw to talk about the tragedy, in which Shaw's 17-year-old son was killed while walking home. Two Hispanic men had waylaid him, demanding to know what gang he was in. The young man, a star football player with a bright future, did not reply immediately. He was then shot by a gunman who was in the U.S. illegally.
"Since my son was dead, I pretty much gave up on being happy," Shaw said.
Then came a surprise. Trump asked to meet with Shaw in person.
"To see somebody, especially a billionaire, come out. I can't even get a neighborhood politician to come out, that's why it's so surreal to me," Shaw said.
They met. Shaw talked about his son. Trump made a pledge.
"He told me to my face, he said, 'I promise you I would never let your son's life be in vain.' To me it felt like the (future) president cared about me," Shaw said.
Shaw said he had never contacted the Trump campaign, but has since guessed that someone in the campaign saw an interview Shaw did on Fox News.
Shaw said Trump's immigration policy runs far deeper that just border security.
"People are looking at immigration as just an immigration issue, but people are dying. It's a fact. What good is the economy, healthcare, going to school, if people are dying?" Shaw asked. "Trump is doing things he doesn't have to do. He can buy a whole island and get away from crime."
He said his meeting with Trump, which eventually led to Trump's campaign using his son's murder in an ad, changed him.
"This was the first time I thought everything's really gonna be all right. To me, he was sent from God," said Shaw.
The only reason any others are parroting the same lines is because they want votes. They don’t mean it. They’re just regular politiwhores.
People have done the research and posted the results: Trump donated over the years, a lot more to Repukes than to Dem(ons).
Plain facts.
GLOBALISTS versus NATIONALISTS. The sooner everyone one on FR realizes that the better. Cruz, Rubio, Washington Cartel, Club for Growth, CFR, WTO, UN, TPP, etc., etc., are the Globalists---"free trade", no borders, unlimited immigration. They live safely behind armed guards in gated communities, and we the people are the ones who have to deal with the immigrant crimes, refugee crime, good jobs gone, third world living standard coming soon. It doesn't affect a senator or Professional Politician. (Funny---a senator makes $175,000 per year but each one becomes a millionaire not long after arriving in DC.)
Heidi Cruz in her 15 year career (yes, nannies raise the children of this phony sanctimonious pair) has been in and out the revolving door between jobs in the White House, advising on "free trade", and Goldman Sachs and other Wall St. banks. She was the Vice President at Goldman Sachs; nine days after Ted was elected senator she became Managing Director, with nothing standing in her way to become a partner, the final step to the top, but the election of her husband, and GS cashing in on the influence it's been buying from the Cruz's (he owes Big Oil, too; his biggest donor is a billionaire NY Hedge Fund manager who is a tax scofflaw planning on White House intervention with the IRS; Club For Growth, which is all about "free Trade", i.e., moving American jobs overseas, then selling the same products in the US but without tariffs.
Donald J. Trump is the Nationalist/Patriot. The EXISTENCE of the USA depends upon Nationalists/Patriots defeating the Globalists/Government Class (which includes educrats, govt controlled media, and crony capitalists.)
And who’s the candidate whose wife called him, “The Face Of God”, and whose father tells us that God Has Annoited Him as President?
Hopefully you are PUI...otherwise there's no excuse for your ignorant statement.
Some people are simply ok with Americans being murdered by foreigners. I’ve recently learned that here on FR. Apparently it’s more constitutional that way.
What's ignorant about it? Based on what I've read and seen on FR Trump, like Palin, has been raised to the status of a deity. Disagreement about them is met with insults and personal attacks as if people take any criticism of trump as a personal attack.
I’ve seen no one treating Trump as a diety. You must go to a pretty weird church. That, or you have no sense of perspective.
Uh, this whole thread is about a woman who said trump was “sent from God”. Or, did you forget that?
Huge difference there, don’t you think?
I think Trump is the real deal. Is he lily white, perfect, hardly. But, there are so may stories about his kindness to others that is seldom advertised but exists that should not be ignored.I’ll take my chances with the Donald vs. any of the rest.
The latest straw is that now we see what the regime has been up to all along with a huge move to allow illegals to vote. The saddest thing is Loretta Lynch going along with it.
Her ignoring of the law was very well hidden in many of her bios.
It’s a bit curious that all this starts with the death of Scalia, yet another coincidence regarding his death.
It would be naive to think that Jimrob doesn’t have a full plate of things to do and accomplish. If there is a problem with FR I doubt anyone wants it fixed more than him.
I have a guilty conscience because I don’t do more to help FR.
You must miss Terry very much. He was a wonderful patriot.
All you’re asked to do is use the service and chip in when you can.
We’re a community here. We need all sorts of people, and some of them just participate like the forum intended for them to.
I’m glad you’re here.
I know,I do the dollar a day thing but wish I could do more.
That’s good. If everyone did that...
Indeed.
God played a nice trick on the holier than thou types. He raised up a flawed rich but honest man to lead this great country during these dark times.
