Monday on his radio show, conservative talk show host Mark Levin ripped Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% , a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination for his repeated attacks on his opponent Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% accusing him of not being truthful.
Levin insisted that it was Rubio was lying and not Cruz and that people were believing Rubio because he was repeating his attacks on Cruz.
"He lied his way to get elected to the United States Senate, frankly - including on this program," Levin said. "He's got a huge trust factor. He can go around calling people liars all he wants as part of his campaign strategy. You tell a lie often enough, as they say, people believe it. And it's had an impact. Their polling shows it has an impact. You're smartest audience of audiences. Well, there's other people out there and a lot of them are pretty damn stupid. 'Oh really, Cruz is a pathological serial liar' from the guy who lies repeatedly."
Levin went on to cite a Breitbart article from last week pointing to Rubio telling Jorge Ramos in Spanish that he would keep so-called executive amnesty in place, despite denying it on the debate stage in South Carolina last week.
That according to Levin was evidence of Rubio's trustworthiness and Levin questioned why Rubio is never held to account.

Anything’s possible.
If we don’t have a “Marco, Marco Man” on our hands here, then thank the good Lord. The amount of mischief possible is less.
Exactly.
I’m disgusted with both the ineligible candidates.
He’s not attacking Rubio because he finished .2 percent higher than Cruz. He is merely pointing out that Rubio lied his way into office before and now he is trying to do it again. Rubio is a big fight liar trying to deflect his lies by pointing fingers. If you want to back him, do so. Just know that some of us have his number. Rubio is anti-republican. He wants to trick voters into supporting him.
The Cuban Obama...
Mr. Levin has gone 100% in for the Constitution and for conservatism. He has not changed on that. If there is change within those who claim the label “conservative,” it is not with Levin. Some candidates are trying to steal the label and redefine it. Other candidates are trying to lie to voters in order to trick and then betray them. Levin has the plumb line. Candidates and issues fall where they fall. We each get one vote. Levin simply wants it to be an informed vote.
Goobio
Neither you, nor I, nor Mark Levin can come up with
a definition of “conservative” that would be acceptable to all 3 of us.
It is a lot like trying to herd cats.
levin is dopey, Cruz is honest? No he is just as much a liar as Obama. Rubio lies too but he is not as underhanded and cruel in his lies are Cruz. Rubio lies about his own policy, Cruz lies about just about anything.
Trump is big on 2nd amendment and yet Cruz says categorically Trump is against the amendment. Laughable BS
Trump has said hundreds of times he will get rid of Obamacare, that Cruz is responsible for us having Justice Roberts who saved Obamacare twice. Cruz lies on Trump’s position 100 percent. Trump says what he would do in fairly specific details, and it doesn’t look at all like Obamacare to me.
Trump Carson Rubio all can’t be wrong, Cruz is the modern day Tricky Ted Milhous Cruz.
Try not to judge everyone by your own deficiencies and mis-judgements. It’s not very becoming to a professional first responder!!!
Maybe not to all 3 of us. But I can tell you for sure that Mark Levin and I would agree on the definition. Levin is rock solid on that, in my view. It is not that complicated until someone comes along with a big personality or a dishonest bent and people have to start making excuses. That’s when things get redefined.
I am not without life experience on this matter. I supported W 100%. There were many times I argued for him when in retrospect I should not have done so. No Child Left Behind for example. Sometimes I just supported him with silence, like on his medicare reform and other big government spending. I understand why it happens. Supporters think they must form a hedge around their guy or completely lose to the left. I learned the hard way. It is better to attach yourself to rock solid principles and fight anyone who tries to con/coax/trick/lie/or even persuade you away from it. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PRINCIPLES ARE FOUND IN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, THE U.S. CONSTITUTION, AND THE BILL OF RIGHTS.
I would add the Bible, but in the political arena, that applies more narrowly to moral issues and not to theology. It is the Judeo/Christian foundation that all the rest of the above was founded upon.
Thank you for your suggestion. I am just a crazy old retired professional first responder these days. But I appreciate your concern and will consider your criticism.
I am sorry to have cast dispersions on Glenn Beck and Mark Levin if it offended you. The post was meant to be humorous. Unfortunately I consider Beck to have devolved into nothing more than an entertainer years ago. I actually believe that being an alcoholic Mormon damaged his thought process.
Levin goes on very entertaining rants, and I still enjoy listening to him. He has lost me frequently lately. I know he is a very smart guy, but some of what he says recently has seemed both contradictory and hypocritical. I don’t think that he has brain damage like Beck however.
Mark believes the new testament is a fantasy.
I remember Marco Rubio from the first time he was on Mark Levin’s show. Rubio was campaigning as the Tea Party candidate against the all powerful GOPe and their guy Charlie Crist for the US Senate seat in Florida. Rubio came from way back in the polls to wining the seat in some measure due to the exposure he got on Levin’s program. He was on several times, and presented himself as being 100% Tea Party all the way.
I heard these interviews, and I remember Marco’s positions; he made it very clear that he was against amnesty and he regarded a pathway to citizenship as being amnesty. IIRC, it was the same election night that Boehner was in the spin room crying over wining the new Republican House majority, that Rubio started saying we had to quickly begin working on the pathway to citizenship. It was then I knew Rubio had sold out and that he was a traitor.
You see, we Levinites have a history with both Rubio and Cruz. We remember and know who the liar is. No amount of negative campaigning is going to change that for us.
As for Trump, I read his Tweets tonight. He’s still going on that “Cruz should be disqualified from his fraudulent win in Iowa.” This is sick stuff. Trump is the one who’s unhinged
So? I know he is Jewish. As I said, theology is not the issue. The gospel is too precious to become a political football. I believe in the 1st Amendment freedom of religion clause. It strengthens the duty of the Christian to “go ye into all the world and preach the gospel..” because it forbids the state from interfering. Mark believes that, too.
I’ll be honest, in many ways I find conservative Jews less frustrating than some Christians because they get that their freedom is wrapped up in the freedom of others. Christians sometimes either expect their right to participate in the political process to mean they need theological purity from their candidate OR they get so caught up in the abuse of God’s grace by distorting the tough part of the gospel that they completely disconnect themselves from understanding and loving God’s moral law — Psalm 19 means nothing to them.
7
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
8
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10
More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11
Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.
How salvation comes to us based on these judgments each person answers to their Maker directly. But our duty to God, to not steal, kill, covet...our duty to God, family, country...is what I am talking about with the Judeo/Christian ethic. Yes, that means a man can choose to disbelieve in God altogether. But the general principle that he is free to disbelieve it BECAUSE he will answer to God for that disbelief is irreplaceable. Otherwise we are founded on survival of the fittest, which cannot even place judgment on Hitler for what he tried to do.
You are the one who brought up the bible in the context of being a “conservative”.
Mark Levin believes Jesus is a lie.
Mark Levin believes Rafael Cruz is our constitutional savior.
I call b_llsh!t on that.
I’m still waiting for YOUR definition of “conservative”.
I won’t hold my breath.
You are so prejudiced and know nothing about Marco Rubio except for the horse manure you read by the losers that are certifiably nuts like Levin. He has always sucked on the radio,and the only reason he is on a show is because he tagged along behind Hannity and rush. His hate for Trump and Rubio is palpable. I don’t know how some of you posters sleep at night with all that anger and hatred.
Maybe because we prefer truth instead of rubio/trump garbage
Rubio’s lies cost me grocery money, I gave all I had to support him sniffing Schumer’s butt...
You said the 3 of us — you, me, Levin — would not agree as to what it means to be a conservative. I said I agree with Levin. Here is a link to one of hundreds of sources on what Levin says about it. I agree with Levin: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/mark-levin-s-conservative-manifesto-liberty-and-tyranny-dominates-bestseller-list-year
This source is about what he has said in his book, “Liberty and Tyranny.” You should get a copy.
