[Cruz wonât build a wall, heâs a liar. Heâs been in office for many years and the first time he started talking about it in any meaningful was after Trump blazed the trail and made it âacceptableâ to say. He doesnât forge new paths like Trump has he just follows (or maybe heâs leading from behind)]
That’s a lie. Cruz supported building a wall during his Senate run. At that time, Trump was supporting amnesty. Trump also is on record opposing a self deportation strategy by sitting off benefits and jobs to illegals.
Do I have to point out the obvious? There is no wall on the southern border. Just like I say with Obama I say of other politicians. Saying you support something or talking about it isn’t actually an accomplishment. Furthermore, it was Trump who got the entire country focused on this. THAT is leadership. Anyone can say things. I grant you that Trump hasn’t built the wall yet (because he’s not in power) and if after 2 or 3 years construction on the wall hasn’t started I will accept that I was wrong but I honestly don’t see that being the case with his personality. Everyone else running will talk about these things ad-nausem and won’t actually DO anything

Yes Cruz did make a comment in a debate about needing to secure the border with a fence or wall.
Now the question becomes since he’s been in the senate for three years, just exactly what has he
done to build that wall or fence? Any legislation, amendments to current regulations, studies on
what it would take to build such a structure, etc?
Can you supply any info regarding his actions since taking office in Jan. 2013? It sure
would bolster Cruz’s statements. Otherwise he sounds like most politicans, talk but no action.
Trump was asked about his comments in 2012 that Mitt Romney's self-deportation policy was "mean-spirited" and "crazy." He responded, "I said it was crazy, because it doesn't work. He was talking about people are just going to walk out of the country. ... I criticized it because it's something that doesn't work. Yeah, it's mean-spirited, it's mean-spirited - this doesn't work at all, Bret. this would never have worked. Look, I want people to go out and they have to come in through the legal process."

Cruz has never built a small backyard fence. He would not recognize a 1000 mile long 50 foot high wall if it fell on his head.
