Erickson: I'm never voting for Trump
Politico ^ | February 22, 2016 | Nick Gass

Erick Erickson will no longer support Donald Trump if he is the Republican presidential nominee, the conservative pundit declared on Monday, citing in particular the Manhattan businessman's support of Planned Parenthood. "I have become convinced that Donald Trump’s pro-life conversion is a conversion of convenience," he wrote in a post on his website, The Resurgent. "Life is the foremost cause in how I vote. Therefore I will not be voting for Donald Trump at all. Ever."

OK, I will admit he spoke the loudest and crudest, but whether he or you say he said it first is a lie.

“What would you say about a Candidate who raised taxes 6 times? Signed an illegal alien amnesty? ran away from a Muslim terrorist threat and doubled the size of the Federal Debt in 8 years?
That candidate was Ronald Reagan.”

What does any of this have to do with the comment I made that you’re replying to? Nothing. r_barton sent me a reply similar to yours which also had nothing to do with my original comment to him. The following is my reply to him.

“Other than his support of liberal democrats Trump, “the deal maker”, hasn’t had the opportunity to do major damage to us yet and I’m not going to be part of giving him an opportunity. Trump has given us no reason to trust him, many reasons to not trust him and if you look up sociopath and narcissism, they frequently go together, you may if your not wearing the “Trump Blinders”, recognize the symptoms.”

Trump supporters will never get it. I’m not convinced he will be the nominee but if so I won’t vote for him. There are many millions of us, millions more than would not vote for Romney or McCain.

As more Christians and conservatives learn the truth about Trump...and his pro-choice support. The more likely they are to support Ted Cruz.

I was done with Don Trump when I learned that he had donated a lot of money to several pro-abortion, anti 2nd Amendment democrats including Hillary, Kerry, Rahm & Schumer.

Ted Cruz is the best choice.

Pretty sure that Erickson was part of the National Review hit squad against Trump. So why is this a big surprise?

Cruz and Rubio are establishment candidates. Erickson is an establishment guy, so makes sense he would vote for one of them.

I don’t think a presidential candidate can legally in a campaign promise a Supreme Court appointment or any other federal job to anyone.

Spamming Ronald Reagans worst actions is an odd way to rally support for Donald Trump.

Erickson: “I’m willing to help hasten the downfall of the United States because I don’t entirely believe my Party’s nominee’s commitment to an issue that is guaranteed to almost never reach his desk.” Smart thinking!

So many members of the Cruzer team (as opposed to normal Cruz supporters) are playing the petulance card. It’s inconceivable, watching so many wail, taking their football, saying they’re going home......
Unhinged is the best description for these ones.

Agree....the my way or highway attitude by these *team* members has entered bizarroland...with their “take my marbles and go elsewhere/I’ll never vote for Trump” comments.

Post after post has asked “if Trump/CRuz is the nominee, will you support?”. I’ve seen, overwhelmingly, Trump supporters say “Yes, we’d support CRuz, if he were the nominee”. I don’s see that, coming from the MAJORITY of CRuzers.

Maybe they’re really backing Hellary.

He not promising. Trump just needs to bring up the fact, when we he is asked about the SC and Scalia, that in his view Ted Cruz would be a perfect SC Justice in the mold of Scalia.

Cruz voters will come around. I think they’re just dealing with a hard loss. They don’t realize their guy was playing hardball, too, but they should read one of Cruz’s team-member’s comment that at least one of Cruz’s ads has really been over the line.

We expect our candidates to fight tooth and nail, and if they don’t then we have to wonder if they’ll roll over the way McCain, Dole, and Romney did.

It’s a cage match. There will be blood. But they are fighting to be the warrior representing their army. May the best man win. We don’t want anything less.

Trump supporters are pathological liars; I have quite literally challenged you personally to defend your accusation about a dirty campaign and none of you care to defend it. You are simply repeating it ad nauseam knowing damn well your candidate has no principles, no values, no policies, no arguments, or anything close what one expects of a candidate for President. You can’t defend his record or his positions.

“I will not vote for Trump.”

“You are a Cam Newton acting like a bratty two old crying on the floor because you are not getting your way with Trump and his voters, us.

When your realize, we do not care nor give a damn, Adios!”

I have legitimate reasons for supporting Senator Cruz and legitimate concerns for not supporting Trump. I realize that as a Trump supporter there’s a lot of things you don’t give a damn about such as the veracity and mental stability of your candidate. Below is the part of my comment you omitted.

“The Donald’s whole conversion from liberal democrat to conservative Republican is a “conversion of convenience”. I don’t believe Trump has or had a philosophy or conviction, I believe his whole life he has adapted to or said whatever was convenient and suited his needs at the time. I don’t think he can help himself, I believe he has a mental or personality disorder. I’ll not vote for Trump.”

It is inconceivable, watching so many wail, taking their football, saying they are going home......

This is what I have to say about to those that will stay home rather than vote:

Nothing infuriates me more than principled non-participation.

The enemy of my enemy is a friend indeed when in need.

Those of you who did not vote against the Usurper for what ever reason, regardless of how valid, brought this Republic to the edge of extinction.

You bastards.

Had we not worked with Russia, most of the world would be speaking German.

You noble and principled jerks gave all us four more years of fundamental change.

Four more years of race baiting antics.

Four more years of Arab Spring.

You gift wrapped Iran a nuclear program.

You created Europe-istan, need I go on?

I hold nothing but abject disgust for your anti-republic actions, as if sitting on the couch amounts to actually doing something.

I hold nothing but contempt for those who would play their fiddle while the Republic burns. The opponents of Freedom count on their useful idiots.

Your grand masterminded plan of sitting on your thumbs plays into the hands of their domination.

Nothing is more deplorable then to be stuck in a foxhole with a pillow biting, bed wetting, sniveling coward!

What say you?

Are you a hero?

Or just another zero?

Stand up and be counted, or line up and be numbered.

If you do not vote, then STFU.

How many times does Trump have to say he would defund Planned Parenthood? He has said it over and over again. He may have said the PP does some good things (they do have adoption services albeit probably minimal), but if Trump defunds PP, isn’t that better that what Paul Ryan has done so far regarding PP? Trump also wrote an article that was in the WSJ about why he is now pro-life and he released it during the March for Life in January. But of course, people like Erickson refused to mention it.

Now when you whine and say I will not vote, you become a target of the big cats.

Adios loser. If you think we will lose sleep or worry about your whining, you are wrong.
