Thanks, galz, for yet another story of one of our brave military heroes! I’m so thankful for them!
Thank you Trooper
Hope today has been a slow one as far as “mom issues” go. Is she feeling better at last?
Finally! We went to DQ for dinner then I came home and read the paper and just kind of putzed around for a while and when I looked up it was nearly 10! LOL!
I’m off tomorrow, so wasn’t in a big hurry. I figured one of you had it covered anyhow by now.....and I was right! :)
After dinner Blizzards are the best!
They are! However, I didn’t get one because of the bazillion calories that go along with the fantastic taste! LOL!
We used to eat at DQ all the time when I was a kid. Haven’t eaten at one in a long time. May have to try it out one of these days to see if the food’s still as good.
They didn’t have Blizzards back in the day. Are they milkshakes?
In keeping with my diversity of the English language, I will wish “Y’all” good night!
LOL!
Good night, PRO. Sleep well. Good luck tomorrow with the job-hunting.
Pro probably already answered, but they are a VERY thick milkshake with bits of stuff like toffee, butterfingers, choklit chips, etc, and they bring it to you upside down to show you how thick it is. :)
There is a DQ within a mile of our house, so it’s easy to stop by after evening worship and visit friends. I had a grilled cheese sammich and fries [it was the kids meal]. :)
Nighty-night!
Sleep tight!
Don’t let the bedbugs bite! :)
No, he didn’t answer.
Ooooh MAN, those sound scrumptious! If nothing else, I’ll have to run by to get a Blizzard. There’s a DQ a couple of miles from us.
I usually get a Wendy’s Frosty or a chocolate shake from Sonic when I’m in the mood for a shake, which is pretty often. LOL
She seems in much better spirits today. I just let the water out of the walk-in tub and she will call me when she is dry and dressed and ready to transfer back to her chair. The whole bath has gone really smoothly so far.
I’ve shown her how to close and open the drain, but she doesn’t remember. And she hasn’t got the oomph to seal and unseal the door. It works like you see on Navy ships when they seal the doors.
It takes about 7 minutes to fill about 2/3 of the way before the hot water runs out. We have the 50 gallon water heater required, but it won’t fill all the way. That’s on my list, too....one of those new fangled hot water on demand thingys. It wouldn’t have to be big as only the walk-in takes extra water. I love it because it has both water and air jets. I have to wait 10-15 minutes before I can get more hot water, enough to cover the jets, and then I can just sit and enjoy the whirlpool effect.
Then about 2 1/2 minutes to drain.
Good evening, Luv...you and me both...so very thankful for the protection they provide our country; both past and present.
How’s MIL? My Mom is feeling much better today and is in good spirits for the first time in a week. Hurrah!!
Glad to hear the day’s gone pretty well. It’s been a rough couple of days.
I’ve wanted one of those water heaters you’re looking to get for a long time. They seem like a good idea because they only heat when the water’s running. And you don’t run out!
Water jets sound very appealing at the moment. Been one of those crummy days for my back and a water massage would be divine. aaaaaaah
They’ll have a list of the flavors. So many...and so little time. LOL!
