The difference, is that comparing a momentary ill-timed photo of a candidate to a vegetable, while humorous, does have an element of "GOTCHA!".

My comparison, was defending the comparisons of Cruz to Grandpa Munster, in that, beneath the make-up, the two men do look remarkably alike (Check the bridge of the nose, the ears, and the slight degree to which the left and right eyes are open different amounts, for example...)

Not a criticism of Cruz, but I never got the Mr. Haney thing that some were mocking him with.

Until the last debate that is.

When he started to answer the mods question, his voice definitely DID do a momentary Mr. Haney.
