Oh, don't be so nasty.

I truly am sorry, I don't mean to get overly enthusiastic. It is something that I need to improve on.

What he said on CNN was confusing. I think he misunderstood the question and then got sidetracked. So it was largely his fault. I (and many others I am sure) asked him through his campaign's facebook page to clarify his comments since what was being said about the interview seemed to contradict what he has been saying for months about repealing Obamacare and the requirement to buy insurance. He responded through Twitter within a couple of hours.

There should be some links in the thread I sent you.

Well said, Nan.

There isn’t another nation on the face of the earth that allows themselves to be overrun with illegal foreign nationals like America has. It’s absolute suicide, which is why every nation has immigration laws, border patrols, fences, and strict penalties for any foreigners who break into their countries.

People who are soft on illegal immigration are soft in the head.

If it were up to me, we’d put a fifty year moratorium on ALL immigration, just to give us time to fully assimilate the tens of millions of legal immigrants we have now.

I don't know if we can have both Cruz and Trump in the race to the end, and I would expect EITHER to back out at some point and not hand Rubio a victory.

My hope is that as the field continues to narrow that the two viable insurgent campaigns will start to focus more on the threat from Rubio who will most likely be the establishment's anointed one. It is regrettable that things have gotten so intense between the two camps and those backing them here as well.

I have been arguing with people here for a long time and can't think of one still around that I have a problem with. I do think that we may have had some issues this year with people who might be here specifically to stir up trouble. That has never been my intention.

bro, I’ve seen MORE NAMES that I’ve NEVER SEEN the past month, and I lead a boring life so i’m on here a lot :)

They will be gone after the election but will have already done the damage.

The DC mess was not created by W. It has been festering since the 30s - rolling my eyes.

Instead of being conservative, GWB opened the candy store to the kiddies in exchange for support to invade Iraq, including creating DHS. Debt exploded, and crony capitalists moved in. Want to know where the peace dividend from ending the Cold War went. GWB spent it like a drunken sailor.

And would’ve destroyed the country with an immigration bill if he had his way.

Yes, I agree a moratorium would be a big help, but then there is the other “problem” called Islam. Allowing those people into our free nation is the biggest of all big mistakes. Their religion is poison to them and is poison to every country to which they migrate. They actually frighten me.

That is what I have been very concerned about. I haven't donated any where near what I should have, but I admire greatly what the founder has created. It truly has been a work of love. It must be extremely stressful when we have people coming in with the intention of causing trouble who do not care what it does to the site. Every presidential election causes some challenges, but it has seemed worse than usual this year.

CEW or C. Edmond Wright seems to be either banned or on a time out.

Hey, I'm all for sending all the moozies back to their countries of origin, but that's unlikely in today's political climate.

That's why I recommend a 50 year halt to immigration from ALL countries. We did it from 1924 to 1965 and it did wonders to homogenize all the various ethic groups who were in the country at that time.

I think the people have the will to deport the illegals, build the wall, enforce our immigration laws to a T, and even go farther. It's the professional parasites in Washington who don't have the guts to do it, which is why Trump's winning like crazy.

Cruz is my guy. If he is out, I can easily support Trump.

If our nominee winds up being Rubio, I can vote for him I guess, but I really pray it doesn’t come to that.

I never followed a primary on FR before.

I don’t think i’ll ever follow a primary again :)

I donate a good amount because I live on this board (personal reasons make it tough to do much getting out besides an overnight job).

It is pretty bad. But FR will survive this I’m sure.

Jim’s a smart guy and he knows what he’s doing :)

Take care bro. I’m watching The Sopranos for the second time.

Enjoying it more than the first.

And if you’re still fighting fires, God bless.

Lost one fireman buddy to lung cancer from 9/11, another’s are in bad shape.

“He came into the South and blew 3 southerners out of the water: Bush, Rubio and Cruz.”

Hah- that’s three dudes who live in the South, but not one of them is a Southerner.

The South was going to be Ted's strong part of the country.

In fact, FR posters assured us that Cruz was going to "mop the floor" with Trump in SC.

Not so much.

Lost one fireman buddy to lung cancer from 9/11, another’s are in bad shape.

Thank you for asking. I am very sorry about your friends. I have known quite a few coworkers that have came down with presumptive illnesses over the years and died. I was on our hazmat team for many years and had some serious exposures, some that sent most of my coworkers to the hospital. I never believed that going to the hospital would be helpful so I always tried to finish my shifts and save the taxpayers some money except for a couple times when I got burned badly enough that my chief made me go in. I have always stayed very active and so far I have no serious health complications.

I am retired now. After 25 years I had enough. There is a cumulative level of stress that eventually starts to wear you down. I do miss many parts of the job. There are very few jobs where basically you get paid to help people and they are almost always happy to see you. There are always opportunities to go beyond what would normally be expected. I was happy when I got promoted because it gave me the authority to get my crews to do more to be helpful to our customers.

The greatest compliment I ever received was after I retired. I made a speech to the mayor, city council and a large gathering of my coworkers, afterward one of the battalion chiefs said to my wife that they “missed the hell out of me” and that if he needed a heart transplant he would only need “this much” of Steve's and he showed just a tiny space between his forefinger and thumb. It means a lot to me that so many of the people I worked with remember my efforts so fondly.

Sorry to blow my own horn... sometimes I come across quite harshly here, but I really am a person who has tried to be kind and a good example to others.

So, where are the Bush, Kasich and Carson votes going to go eventually?

Last week YouGov polled a 3-way race (nationally)

Trump 46%
Rubio 28%
Cruz 26%
