O M G !!! Not THAT!!!!
The ability to have a baby is indeed a wonderful thing!!!
Why some women seem to consider it a curse is mind boggling to me!
“This is a bold, potentially controversial, statement for a celebrity mom. Adele, ADELE, didn’t feel like she was truly living before she became a mom?! She, the universally adored force of nature behind, at the time, one of the bestselling albums of all time, felt like she didn’t have a purpose?”
The decades come and go, but militant feminists remain the same. A successful female finds more satisfaction in being a mother than in dollars and the fawning of strangers and industry sycophants, and they lose their minds.
I agree, raising 4 children was the best job I ever had, lots of fun, many heartaches, many teaching moments as well as paying me great dividends.
Who was the lucky guy?
They can all pile on her as far as I’m concerned. I saw an article where Adele took her 5 year old son to an amusement park and let him dress up in a princess costume. She is nuts and deserves any grief she gets from her fellow nut cases.
Four babies! Wonderful :-)
Many women today hold in low-esteem a life dedicated to raising a large family.... they are sick people :-(
Yes, let’s attack the evil of raising children. Only a gay communist could think like this.
Vipers.
Reminds me, obliquely, of Betrand Russell’s comment, “As the rising sun scatters the multitude of stars, so Galileo’s few proved truths banished the scintillating firmament of mediaeval certainties.”
Yes, and so it is with a child, ... or a grandchild!
That is a very good thought on the matter.
I have had childless female co-workers tell me how their pets are just like children to them and love them unconditionally.
However, one of them finally had a child and called me aside one day. Her child had thrown their arms around them and said “I Love You”. They knew then what I had been talking about, and how their life was forever changed and made worthwhile by that baby.
These feminists are so full of hate. They hate life — born and unborn.
I work with some of them as well (white, childless middle-aged women); when someone proposed resurrecting the company picnic for the employees’ families, one of them snarled, “Only if we can bring our dogs”.
A lot of regrets in some of them, and real bitterness towards younger women avoiding the same path (especially minorities).
My wife says the same, and as a guy I agree; having children was the most significant thing in either of our lives.
Really want to hear a snarl? Say something derogatory about abortion. That will get the old guilt trip running on full octane.
Same here.
And they age and watch the complexion of this country rapidly change before their eyes (literally), many older whites are re-thinking their support for abortion - not that they would admit it. It didn’t work out as they dreamed (the eradication of non-white populations), but instead has done the reverse; they visibly grimace when hearing people speak Spanish all around them.
I had the same arguments with several coworkers when I had my first. I had a picture of my first dressed up for Halloween, and get shown others’ pictures of dressed up dogs.
And I had several professional women tell me I was too young to have kids at 25, should have put more into my career. The fact that I’d been married several years and already had a house was irrelevant - their model was party another five to ten years, then hope the eggs hadn’t gone bad.
