Ted Cruz has inched ahead of Donald Trump in a new national poll released Wednesday.
The Texas senator has the backing of 28% of Republican voters nationwide, unseating Trump, who won the support of 26% in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. But Cruz's 2-point edge is within the poll's margin of error.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio comes in third with 17% support, followed by Ohio Gov. John Kasich at 11%, Ben Carson at 10% and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in last place with 4%.
The results are a major change from last month's NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, when Trump held a 13-point lead over Cruz, 33% to 20%.
The latest survey was conducted by Republican pollster Bill McInturff and Democratic pollster Peter Hart after Saturday's GOP debate in South Carolina....

If the site owner has to duck, this is a dangerous primary!
The Treehouse has debunked this as yet another faked NBC poll:
Lol!!!
Perfectly spot on :-)
Thanks. Saw this on the news, this morning.
CRuzers are spewing manure when they say CRuz beats Clinton, compared to Trump. That whopper is as fabricated as this silly NBC poll that keeps getting posted ;-)

According to most Cruz does better against Clinton than Trump.
Trump people are just pulling the idea out of thin air when they say Trump has a better chance of beating Clinton. It is a simple fact, the polls show just the opposite.
Hahahaha! The treehouse debunked it? That’s the funniest thing I’ve read in weeks!
That’s a bit better, but here in MI I haven’t seen ANY Cruz stuff like yard sighs or bumper stickers and even some school teachers I know are for Trump. So I don’t get how all of these polls are calling it so close. Unless, some folks are lying to pollsters.
I don’t think so...
Considering how many Dems that I have talked to that are going for Trump.
They want nothing to do with the Clinton revival.
What is your controlled sample group size? 10 people do not sway an election.
