The son of the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia is rejecting conspiracy theories that his father died of anything other than natural causes.
"Our family just has no doubt that he was taken from us by natural causes," Eugene Scalia said on the Laura Ingraham show on Wednesday. "We accept that. Weâre praying for him. We ask others to accept that and pray for him."
The younger Scalia's comments come after the justice's unexpected death on Saturday - and local authorities' decision not to conduct an autopsy - spurred conspiracy theories that something other than a heart attack may have claimed his life.
Donald Trump fueled those rumors on Tuesday when he said he found the location of a pillow on Scalia's bed suspicious.
"They say they found a pillow on his face, which is a pretty unusual place to find a pillow," Trump said, during an appearance on "The Savage Nation" radio show.
The owner of the Texas ranch where Scalia was staying later told CNN that the pillow was not, in fact, found on the justice's face.
"He had a pillow over his head, not over his face as some have been saying," said John Poindexter, owner of the Cibolo Creek Ranch.

Do you really think an autopsy would have satisfied them?
What if the family did not want it. What about THEIR rights to his body?
Being a Supreme Court justice, an autopsy should have been performed.
Period.
“Our family just has no doubt that he was taken from us by natural causes,”
I agree and also the pillow being above the head. I am sure there are pictures of the scene if the Sheriff wanted to release them.
Our largest president, William Howard Taft, lived to be 72 in relatively good health, especially for that day. I think the weight factor is highly exaggerated.
He was a pipe smoker. Google "Scalia picture pipe" and there are a lot of photos out there.
Medically speaking Justice Scalia was obese. He was a smoker. He had a history of heart trouble and high blood pressure. His physician had ruled out surgery on an injured shoulder just this week because Justice Scalia's health wasn't up to it. His death at 79 is a tragedy but it certainly isn't a surprise.
It is irrational, perhaps, but funeral homes make money selling expensive coffins which will “protect” the body of the deceased.
Judge not . . .
I'm sure your tinfoil beanie is on snugly too.
No. But it would give them less of an easily made argument. It will convince those who say “I dunno . . . maybe”.
“His son says to pray for him? I think itâs a bit late for that.”
Why do you say that? Most people I know pray for the souls of all sorts of friends and relatives that have passed away.
Exactly. This was a terrible decision and the exact reason why conspiracy theories are now rampant. If a President died, there would be significant study to attempt for 100% confirmation. Same with a Speaker of the House or any other high ranking official. A Supreme Court justice should be no different. Especially with the balance of power shifting because of it. I see no reason to think it wasn't natural, but I'd like to have some medical evidence to back that up.

Because the body was embalmed around 12 hours or sooner, we have no toxicology. We have no images of the body. We have no time of death. We ‘got nuthin.’
And there are agent provocateurs on FR saying essentially, “Nothing to see here. Move along.” Who are they? Democrat operatives? White House payees?
It’s appointed unto men once to die.
It’s not biblical to pray for the dead, the bible specifically prohibits it in fact.
We need to focus on the living and pray that the Holy Spirit moves them, so they can accept salvation and be granted eternal life.
The clouds could part, choirs of angels could sing, and the voice of Almighty God could come rumbling down saying, "I took Antonin Scalia home to his justly deserved rewards in Paradise" and you would still have people saying, "Yeah but what about...".
I know I know...Scalia,Breitbart, etc...all just "died" of "natural causes"...
has any other supreme court judge of this era, still a judge, just up and die like this?....
I do not doubt that Scalia died of natural causes, but it would have been prudent to do an autopsy to avoid the inevitable rumor mongering, given his position and the uncensored mouth of that real estate developer running for the POTUS nomination.
William Rehnquist, who wasn't a smoker.
Scalia had been to his doctor twice in the days leading up to his death, had a history of high blood pressure and heart problems. He didn't participate in the quail hunt on Friday because he wasn't feeling up to it.
No.
And I am not young.
The mere fact that there was no autopsy tells us things.
Trillions of $$$ hang in the balance, for Leftist slugs to push.
A son can’t go ‘at the last minute.’ No security detail. Motive. Opportunity. Circumstantial evidence. We have no PROOF of cause of death. None. Anyone who causes doubt is demeaned. Even here.
Yeah, sure. People die at 79. But ‘people’ are not conservative Supreme Court Justices.
If he'd died in a hospital bed, I wouldn't expect an autopsy. But he died alone, away from his family, and declared dead by natural causes through a phone call to his personal doctor. If I was a family member, I'd most definitely want to know what finally took him from us.
