Vatican spokesman the Rev. Federico Lombardi says, "The pope always talks about migration problems all around the world, of the duties we have to solve these problems in a humane manner, of hosting those who come from other countries in search of a life of dignity and peace."
Lombardi's comments Tuesday night came in response to Trump criticizing the pope's plan to visit the border wall that separates Ciudad Juarez from El Paso, Texas, on Wednesday to put a focus on the plight of migrants.
Trump said in an interview with Fox that he doesn't think the pope understands the danger to the U.S. of an open border with Mexico.

I have never heard of the Vatican responding to American presidential candidates positions on anything. Trump must have hit a NWO (New World Order) nerve.

The pope understands. He wants them to go to the USA because he thinks the USA owes it to them. Just another way of transferring money from those who earn it to those who don’t.
The Pope should be taking to task the Catholic elites running the Central/South American nations for the rampant crime and corruption that is causing the illegals to try and flee their failed nations. Why doesn’t the Pope try cleaning up his own corrupt culture first, before attempting to lecture the West on anything.

All humans are sinners and deeply flawed. All of Christ’s apostles were, why would modern man be any different? There are many good Catholic priests who suffer for the people of their parishes. It is completely appropriate to vocalize political differences with religious leaders but leave your Catholic hatred at the door.
