If Trump becomes president, Cruz says conservatives can kiss their abortion restrictions and gun rights goodbye.

...

"He has been a liberal his entire life," Cruz told Fox News, noting that Trump has made contributions to Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Secretary of State John Kerry.

They are reporting on the fight between the conservative (Cruz) and liberal Republican (Trump) frontrunners to capitalize on the ratings.

I don’t think it is a gurantee that he’d nominate a liberal. He’ll do whatever is politically or financially best for him at the moment a nomination comes up.

I do however think that if it would get him the votes for his wall or another project he really wants, he’d gleefully throw the court into liberal hands for eternity.

Ok, if you are serious then you are certifiably insane. Trump has not even won the nomination yet. How can you say he is greater than Presidents Lincoln, Reagan, and Coolidge? Do you want to award him a Nobel Peace Prize too like the lefty cultists did with Obama before he had done anything?

so that excuses the support Freepers gave to Roberts? How do you know for sure nobody here wrote an op-ed “gushing” over him? Do you know who everybody here is? That’s an amazing trick. I recall seeing illustrations of supreme court justices Roberts, Alito, Thomas, and Scalia dressed as various heroes via photoshop from many Freepers. “GUSHING” over the Roberts nomination and I cannot recall a HUGE movement against him.

Roberts was touted and supported on FR as a conservative, you can’t hang this piece of tripe you utter on any conservative Republican. The process examines his writings, opinions, etc. They even dig into a candidate’s personal background. It only takes a simple majority of the Senate to approve a Justice. http://www.ushistory.org/gov/9d.asp

And FReepers are good researchers, we turned up nothing that said Roberts was a moderate. After all we Debunked Dan Blather’s Lies in a very short time. We would have found out about Roberts too. We knew GWB was not as conservative as we’d of like, but he was not the socialist libtard global warming freak Albore.

Not all of us have made up our minds, lies don’t help us chose wisely.

How about the Rubio is Gay, has Mistresses is that truth or lie? Why hasn’t the MSM not exposed it? We know he and Bush are Pro Amnesty for sure.

Every one of these articles have been FR posted except the Draft Dodging one, there are more of those you can google. He is the only one from the Nam era. Along with all the Cruz, Rubio, Bush articles.

No need to explain, I know what happened.

Yes, it was pretty clear he never was running with a co-candidate. And they’ve all been Trump’s adversaries. When the field started to fragment, Mr. Cruz gave it his best shot. Trump was nice until they started poking him. You’ve seen their results. Btw, these historic events were basically predicted back on 6/16/2015 when Trump announced. Considering the loser leadership from the lawyers/politicians for decades now, the epic support for Trump comes as no surprise. Ya got to pay attention nate.

Fine, trust a sleazy, lying, snake oil politician then. We’ve had plenty of those for decades and they have done such a wonderful job so far, haven’t they? Ted has absolutely no leadership skills. Unless, of course, you want to count leading with slimeball tactics such as what happened in Iowa. At least Trump has built something and worked in the private sector, unlike your boy, who has sucked off the government teat all his life. Just more of the status quo for you, huh? Ted wouldn’t accomplish a danged thing in office if elected - shades of his Senate record so far - nil, nada, zero, nothing!

You wanted to hear all that in 30 seconds? Don’t forget, his sister is a judge, so I’m sure he is quite familiar with the 2 people he suggested. You are grasping at straws here, and doing it very badly.

so I'm sure he is quite familiar with the 2 people he suggested.

You are probably "sure" he could walk on water if he wanted. Your assurances are meaningless. When asked to explain what it meant to be conservative during the debate, he couldn't - he babbled about conserving money, which may be a businessman's answer but reveals a huge lack of understanding of constitutional conservatism. If he can't even explain it, how can he expect to select judges that have demonstrated it in their opinions?

The best silk clothing is made in China from the best silk worms. That has not changed for 6,000 years when the use of silk was invented in China. If you are going to get a silk tie, China would be the ultimate source.

To imply that Trump’s silk ties are hypocritical is stupidity that lets ideological purity cloud real world circumstance.

Correct however had any of us worked for him we’d have sung his praises as well. His history from the bench showed constitution. There have been many who have taken the bench to have disappointed over the years and no one even all on FR expected Roberts to have become what he did. Sorry but you’ll have to take issue with Cruz in other things but on Roberts no. We all supported his nomination

I agree Trump has said a million times he is pro-life. Is there any evidence of this, other than having said it. I think that is the rub, he has also said he is pro-choice in the past.

I have been actively involved in pro-life movement for years and my experience is that former pro-choicers are like ex-smokers. Very passionate to let everyone know how important it is to quit smoking or quit being pro-choicers. Very passionate to the point of being obnoxious.

I can't read Trumps heart, but I wish there was some evidence.

Donald Trump on Abortion

OnTheIssuesLogo
I am now pro-life; after years of being pro-choice:

Donald Trump shocked attendees at the conservative CPAC conference in February when he declared himself pro-life after years of supporting the pro-abortion position. Several months ago, when questioned about his position, Trump responded by saying the public "would be surprised" by his stance and, in an interview with Laura Ingraham from Fox News leading up to the conference, Trump characterized himself as "pro-life" and he repeated that apparent reversal when he told the audience at CPAC, "I am pro-life" and pledged to fight for the reversal of ObamaCare, which contains abortion funding loopholes.

As the 2012 race intensifies, pro-life advocates must call upon Donald Trump to further explain his stand on important pro-life issues like Supreme Court nominations and repeal of the pro-abortion Obama healthcare law.

I changed my views to pro-life based on personal stories:

Q: Evangelicals want to feel secure that they're going to have a nominee that's solid on those social issues.

A: One thing about me, I'm a very honorable guy. I'm pro-life, but I changed my view a number of years ago. One of the primary reasons I changed [was] a friend of mine's wife was pregnant, and he didn't really want the baby. He was crying as he was telling me the story. He ends up having the baby and the baby is the apple of his eye. It's the greatest thing that's ever happened to him. And you know here's a baby that wasn't going to be let into life. And I heard this, and some other stories, and I am pro-life.

Q: So those stories did change you, they came around and changed you?

A: They changed me. Yeah, they changed my view as to that, absolutely.

I am pro-life; fight ObamaCare abortion funding:

Billionaire Donald Trump told the Conservative Political Action Conference that he's thinking about running for president. His remarks drew lots of applause and cheers from the crowd, who will play a key role in grass-roots organizing for the eventual 2012 GOP presidential nominee. "I'm well acquainted with winning," Trump said. "That's what this country needs now."

Sure thing ...nominate Cruz and lose the general election ... sounds like a typical GOPe plan !

DRumph loses to Hillary and Bernie in the general election poll head to head match up.. I guarantee Trump would not i repeat would not win the General Election is negatives are to high.. Almost 60% of the Republicans refuse to vote for him and I am one of them!!!
